My CTD happens when I press the join button...the sound stutters then the crash...but not on every server...I think sometimes I am able to retry on the same server and get in fine...Do you all get the sound stutter also?

I do not get a sound shutter, hmmm. Dunno why.

Thanks Tren... no biggie... my "lost connection" problem is much more annoying...I did the UOTRACE deal and I seem to lose to many packets most of the time although I now run a low ping of 20-60 most of the time...
I never figured out how to handle the "problem" pc(s) I located with the trace...

Ok, this is just plain upsetting.
I had maybe 2 CTD's in the almost 1 year leading up to 1.3.
Since 1.3, I get 2-4 CTD's a night. Thanks EA for re-breaking BF2.
I also get "puppet strings:, jagged random shapes on the screen, "metalized sandbags", that is where the sandbags loook lik they are liquid metal, very wierd. I am really concerned about all this crap and wondering what EA/DICE is going to do to fix it.
Oh yeah I also get 2-4 "Connection Problems" a night.

I am gonna relaod tonight, if it still doesn't work, back to GRAW and Rome Total War for me until 1.31 or whatever.
Everyone that downloaded 1.3 should get a free credit with EA, considering that this patch is the buggiest patch I have ever seen. I can't tell you hows many Gold medals I have lost due to CTD's and Connection Problems. EA if you are listening, FIX IT!

alrite i reinstall my bf2 and patch up.. it didnt work for the 1st time.. i tried 2nd time.. hehe its back to normal.. thanks duDE~

yup, it was listed on my box too. but online it sais this:

in short:
THE GEFORCE 6200 GRAPHICS CARD IS NOT SUPPORTED, GET ANOTHER ONE.

ill get another one next week.

And did you not read mine, it worked on the previous patch, and he went away and checked and came back and said THERE IS AN ERROR IN THE README FILE. It SHOULD be there.

well ive patched full 1.3 and nothing this is complete ****ING BS im extremly ****ed i can see why so many people complain now first problem ive had with BF2 i mean how wrong can you go so poeple cant even join:cussing::cussing:

on the join game button crash dont click on it click auto ready,if that doesnt work try settig ur vid settings up a notch.

thanks... i tired its works.. but when it came to selection team/weapon.. the server kick mi out.. saying tat i got an high png of 310 while the map itself was 430 ping!!.. this is very strange..

I got the same problem, as some of you..

I click Launch Button to Play Armerd Fury, Then when it luachnes and BF2 screen comes, and then it disappers, it CTD.. BF2Team is BF2Team *** !

Tried it all. Fresh install of WinXP SP2, Fresh install of my crappy Radeon 9600 card(what was i thinking bying a AIT card???), Fresh install of BF2 and patching. 1st time, no lag, no CTD...YEAH....But, after a good night rest, it was a good one because no more CTD problems, started BF2 again..5 minutes later..CTD..What the F*CK...Now, i cant play anymore without a CTD. I almost going to cancell my holliday to buy a new grapich card, because i think thats a problem to...But for now i'm going to patch once again...I hope it will help.


Edit: Well, i repatcht it. No CTD, No Lag..Good playing:)...Nice:)

I just upgraded my video card from a Radoen 9800 Pro which has served me well and the only problems I had were CTD issues that are strictly related to 1.3 However I now own a EVGA 7600GS AGP8X card and after I installed the card BF2 goes through the motions as if it's going to load but once the black screen shows up it immediately goes back to the desktop.

How can this product stop working simply from a video card upgrade?

NEVERMIND, I DELETED MY BF2 FOLDER VIA MY DOCUMENTS AND THAT FIXED THE ISSUE
