Snipers revealed?!

I've noticed alot of sniper's threads that reveal their favorite positions. Ive contemplated sharing my favorite sniping spots, however, Im curious to wonder if I'm putting myself at a disadvantage by doing so (on the other hand, I see a large advantage at spotting others who may use these exposed spots).

For those snipers that have (or havent) shared their favorite spots with the rest of us, can I ask why?

We're a loving community, that's why. :)

But seriously, not every BF2 player is on this forum, and noones forcing you to tell us. We help each other out so we all become better players.

I was actually thinking about putting together a thread of my favorite spots.. Just curious what others think of them.. are they good for sniping, or gettinf killed?

No point in trying to snipe if you dont have great spots to snipe from....

its kinda obvious why people wont share their good sniping spots... they dont want everyone to look for them there or to use the same ones

I strafed someone off the boat on wake yesturday :) Bad part about revealing your favorite spots...
I never thought about that boat for anything, but I was getting sniped everywhere and the red damage indicator was coming from the ocean. Then I remembered a thread about the boat in wake so I took a J10 and gave it a few cannons. Sure enough, scored a kill :)

I wonder, who was the first one who thought of using the boat?

I luv sniping on Wake.There's one spot I use I've never seen another sniper in.I've easily gotten 12 to 15 kills there b4 getting artied by enemy commander.Only works for Chinese team tho cuz USMC camo is wrong color.:)

I've actually got better at sniping whilst posting here, like those tips on Wake were very helpfull. :)

yea everyone can tell the positions on here in relative safety cause only a few player actually go on the forums...i wanna no the real good 1 that only works for the chinese

I wonder, who was the first one who thought of using the boat?

Im sure several people have, thats one of the first sniping spots I looked for when Wake came out for BF2. I originally tried to take a small boat there, but I couldnt find a spot low enough to jump on, so plane it was.

In fact, theres 3 spots in Wake that I love for sniping and havent seen a single perosn use.

(one of them is on the roofs of some buidlings, but not the ones as the main base --you have to roof hop 3-4 buidlings to get there)

I might share pics in a later thread if I feel unthreatened by these spots' exposures.

Heck if I didn't find one of the best sniping spots ever on Daqing the other day. I'm unsure if I should spill, though, because, as far as I know, I'm the only one who ever uses it. Sure, you don't get alot of kills, but it's pretty freaking conceled. However, if someone does spot you, you'll never be safe in that spot again. :p

I never share my spots. I remember after the Wake Island sniping thread came out I killed more and more snipers hiding there. I never really use spots that much, i usually find a good hillside or a place where someone won't expect me to be, make a few kills, and switch to a new place.

Sure Resplended.Look on the south leg above the MEC arty,where the trees create a shadow over where the grass ends and the barren hill side merge.Closest arty to you will be slightly back of your right shoulder.You can snipe nearly all of the north aproach from there.Lie in that spot an you nearly dissapear if you don't move around much.It's a camo effect and not a glitch in the map or anything like that.I've had guys nearly step on me and not know I was there until I moved.Hope this ups your k/d a bit.Happy fragging.

Wait, what map do you mean BigRed? In your first post you mention it in Wake and only working for chinese, but now you say MEC? Unless that was a silly typo. :p

Thanks for that anyway, I think i get where you mean. Pictures would've helped though. I really do need to increase my k/d ratio. :laugh:
