Chances are, you won't run into the people on here in a game, a game with your fav spot, and have them recall 'oh I better check that spot!'.

I originally tried to take a small boat there, but I couldnt find a spot low enough to jump on, so plane it was..

I had someone drive me there once. You have to ram the boat against the boat and jump out. It was cool, got like 8 kills before I was j-10'd.

I've noticed alot of sniper's threads that reveal their favorite positions. Ive contemplated sharing my favorite sniping spots, however, Im curious to wonder if I'm putting myself at a disadvantage by doing so (on the other hand, I see a large advantage at spotting others who may use these exposed spots).

For those snipers that have (or havent) shared their favorite spots with the rest of us, can I ask why?

My favorite sniper position is prone, and crouching when I take enemies from behind.

I would be surprised that if the Totalbf2 Community made up more then 5% of the Battlefield 2 Players. So the odds that you will see someone who knows your secret spot is pretty slim.

I wonder, who was the first one who thought of using the boat?

i used it in 1.12, kinda boring being there though, you either have to let the usa invade and snipe everyone on the beaches. or get there as usa and not get artied or spotted and have very few people to shoot unless your team invades.

Yes, yes you are....We will all use game-monitor.com to find the servers you are playing on and then we will all go in that server and tea bag you repeatedly.

Its all good to share spots...makes you go out and find new ones...I always seems to find new spots...makes games little more interesting when you discover new killing grounds...

I usually just pick a spot where a lot of traffic will be, but not the really obvious ones, and snipe till I get killed and move on to a new spot.

I for one dont use sniper haunts, when I play sniper I always try to be very mobile. I'm not really a forward sniper I just never use the same place twice and I reposition often. Ive even found the best sniper spots can be the worst if your against a smart sniper he checks good hiding places and high ground first thing.

I do not reveal my spots, but never are they on top of cranes, or buildings. I always use the ghille suit and go into the bushes, or shrubs in certain places. I use the base weapons, and nothing the funner then handing an enemies ass to them from 300 meters with the SVD, especially if they have the L96 or something, makes you feel good.

Since everyone is too ****ing cowardly, here's my list of spots on Oman :)



1.
Excellent spot for sniping the attack chopper and jets. If you have draw distance and texture filtering maxed out, you can see and kill anyone that's camping the jets.

2.
Great spot for sniping jets and campers. Victims get fed up and hop in APCs and tanks to get you after getting killed one too many times.

3.
I placed the 3 wrong on the map but the spot is to the left of the little sandbag guardtower. There's a small ditch where you can go prone in and be nearly invisible. Only problem is that people spawn right in front of the tower sometimes so you'll have to place a claymore.

4.
same as 1 but impossible to hit jets.


5.
Nice view of hotel, and whatever the other base is directly in front of it. It's difficult terrain for tanks and apcs to navigate through so you only have to worry about infantry coming up to get you.

7.
The little village has alot of nasty hiding spots and for some reason people rarely go there. I've been shot at many times by snipers that I knew were hiding somewhere there but were impossible to locate.
