ok.... what if....

EA/DICE are just upsetting us again, but this time so badly, to such incredible lows and to a point of complete BF boycottage, just to see/read our reactions so that they can release the single most finest peice of programming, patching, bug fixing, jeep dropping, squad hopping stopping, server list scrambling, pc crashing, red name teaming, what happened to my rank and unlocks, how am i blamed for hitting that guy when i take off in the jet... blah blah blah.... one final patch to end all patches... what if.... they get it right?

is it just my imagination?

Why don't they listen to the community? What's so hard about that revert all the patches so that the hitboxes etc. work Fine less lag faster gameplay but fix C4 Chucking, Jumping and shooting (It are trained soldiers not random people who jump & shoot..)

I hope EA/Dice read's all the posts here since a lot of people are dissapointed and angry at EA..

Good post. Very salient. I've never seen the server list so empty. Personally, I'm done with this game. It was my first & last venture into the BF series. I have spoken to many in ts, voip & read the forums to find that a lot feel the same way.

On a positive note - Prior to this patch, I thoroughly enjoyed playing the game, the wars, making Blitzkrieg tactics, training on them & executing them. At one point I even called it 'The War sim'. Now it's droll. Squadleaders doing their jobs get truckdropped upside the head & it's spawnrape heaven thereafter. Y'all know the list goes on & on & not just fundamental gameplay has been affected.

I realise patches are needed & bugs are inevitable of course. But this latest release is not only detrimental to the community as a whole, it also seems to be behind a few financial issues involving server changes, big name teams pulling out of BF2 in major leagues, leading the way for the masses to find another game right behind them. The saving grace is that they do have time to fix it & the question is - Will they?

I fear they won't. It all sounds pretty mutinous & so it should be if they don't pay attention.

Technically, you mean CPL (Cyberathlete Professional League). CAL is where people train to be in CPL.

I've been gaming since the dawn of pong. I've owned Electronic Arts head to head football games. The way I see it...they owe me an office. hehe.

At this point I've racked up a ton of hours away from family, friends and work over BF2. Some can say sadly, but I say gladly. This last patch, threw me off. I wasn't expecting another patch and I would of been content without one (sorry for all those that still have problems).

However, I sat down to try out the patch. Only to have a CTD after loading karkand. I wasn't a happy camper.

The browser ran at a snails pace. Didn't we have this problem last year?

I'm very disappointed....now we have to wait for another 2 weeks before you guys can get another hotfix out to revert or rectify these issues.

And I'm a big fan of straferight servers!

Maybe I'll go and pick up GRAW after work?

OH and as for 2142..

AWESOME!!!! Thats a great letter and gets the point across. But as many have said, I cant help but think that EA are making this game bad due to the upcoming release of a simalar game with different textures (which will be based on BF2 engine). Its not a new game, its a rehash and the amount of people on this board that still say people are moaning, and that the games fine really are the people talking out of there backside. Its good to see larger companies that pay for Ranked Servers standing up as well as the clans to what is possibly, the worst supported game ever to grace this planet!!!

I agree 100% same shizzle...different skins....what a joke...there are mods that are better. I saw the 20 minute video and got bored...at least when BF2 came out...I was scrounging the net for clips...like a crack-ho with no money in a shooting gallery.

But hey...it's just a game right?

Your letter hits the nail on the head for me, the 1.3 patch has sent me away from BF2 to CS:S and FEAR, and iv been playing BF2 exclusively since 1.00

It's quit simple really, it may be tough for you but make an effort to wrap your brain around this all at once ok?
He is a server owner, someone that provides you a place to play. He pays the bill so to speak, and you have one more server in your list to play on thanks to him and the other servers owners.
Since he pays the bill, he feels that if he cannot provide a consistent level of quality to his clan or his regulars bcause of the patch, then why should he blindly throw money at someone that cannot fix their own product to save their own ass?
In addition, he wrote the original post in an intelligent manner, he described his experience and it just so happens that a hell of a lot of people feel the same way and are in the exact same situation. I'm sure that if you committed yourself to pay his server bills and the rest of the expenses for his community, he would retract that statement. Seeing has how you would not step up to the plate in this regard, he should not have to either.

Agreed, it had all the potential.

I found that as game play went, with every patch, the lord giveth with one hand and take away with the other, while adding un-nessary add-ons that made the game either un-balance to what it is now, Un-playable most part. If its not crashing, or the server crashing, You cant even get sensible people on the server to play as a team. And when you do (if your lucky) it crashes!!!!

Sum of how playable it is on 1.3 patch is if you want a proper decent game, you've got little chance. The only people that dont have problem's with 1.3 patch is those that are rambo's, dont work as a team, mostly TK for vehicles, Cartillery on jets/helis etc, and most of all dont pay towards any of the servers they go on. If the server crashes, they dont care. They harras another server. Unbelievbly this is probably 50% of the BF2 community (At least seems that way anyway).

I think its got everything to do with EA and not alot with DICE to be honest. Its like Newspapers. Locol newspapers are being takenb over by big one, which in turn are own by one super publisher. SO all newpapers have the same content mostly. THey lose the 'local' feel. And EA transcribes into this SUPER POWER catagory. As been said, its there to please share holders so puts stupid rquirements on its employers/developers etc and the people that care about there products arnt noticed. And if any of you think EA give a toss, or even read this board, If the last year asnt told you enough, YOUR STUPID!!!! or one of those above i described.

Personally, im not going buy anoth EA product again, Never mind BF product!!!!
