Gunship 2000 takes me back. Got it as part of Microprose set with JetFighter II, played both to death on my 486 with the whopping 2MB video. I love today's graphics, but I had every bit as much fun playing those old games under DOS as I do today's more "immersive" titles.

Good to see so many old dudes around here.

I played jetfighter II! Probably the first flight sim I had. You could fly the F16, F14, F18(?), and the F-23 (that thing was ugly). You could fly under the Golden Gate Bridge, go destroy Oakland. The ground was just solid brown. Man, that game was pretty darn good now that I"m remembering it.

36 - first games console I ever owned was a "grandstand" which I got Christmas '78 This was followed by the mighty next generation console behemoth that was an atari 2600

i started playing 1942 and indeed got hooked, and i'm 16 but thankfully i'm not as retarded as most of the players on bf2

33 here! Was grandstand the one with motorcycle handles on it? Been so long i remember it having racing games.

Somewhere i have a 2600 with about 50 games. Anyone remember the Atarti 5200 or 7800?

Started with pong myself, then moved to consoles, now playing PC games for the last 6 years.

19 here, been playing console games since I was about 6. Won a Sega Master System from the Local Restaurant, one of 2, the other kid looked really sad !??!?!? Computer since I was 8, nice lil 2GB computer with almost no Ram or graphic effort! ...fun games none the less
