Re: Hypocracy of the solo AC pilot

I finally experienced the pilot who refused to have a gunner yesterday. His name was "lildean" and he spammed get out and hovered over the chopper for a few minutes. Then he promised to crash the helo if I didn't get out. I kept asking "why?", but he wouldn't respond. If he had a good reason, like he wanted to fly with a friend or whatever, I would have got out. He eventually crashed it. I spent the rest of the game trying to TK him, but I only got him twice.

lol I was at a friend's house and some guy called Pikachu or something wanted to get in.. So I was doubting should I let this poor little kid get in my chopper? HELL NO! He got in and I did the out of bounds trick he'd said

      pikaguy something
      - wtf r u doing??
      - U r going the wrong way..
      - omg
      me:
      - su you stepped in earlier and you couldn't gun..
      - You got for the plane I was in.. Don't whine and moan..

So I'd did fly a Chopper but not on my account and my friend gave me permission..

I'd told him to get out earlier

      Solo Heli-Pilots ROCK!

(If they tell you to get out and give a reason WHY)

^ Didn't specify in topic I'm too lazy..

Kojimab plays on the -FHM- 24/7 Dalian server. I played with and against him. He's even better when he has a gunner with the same goal. I'm a pretty decent solo myself and I kill him if he doesn't see me first. If you have 2 good solo pilots it's all about who see who first. In clan matches, especially on the 8v8 helo maps, if you have a good solo pilot you gain a person on the ground.

1.3 patch is said to fix soloing, I think that it will just get exploited again.

Wrong. It's very possible and easy to do. Get it going in the circle and switch to the gun, it will continue and you can shoot with the cannon.

Spawn as AT, wait for chopper to re-arm/repair and rocket the pilot in the face. No matter if he thinks he's leet or not, ac is meant for two people n00bs or no n00bs.

Re: Hypocracy of the solo AC pilot

I had the best helo experience the other day bar none. I got in the chopper and this guy got in with me as my gunner. I feel that I am a fairly decent pilot. As we were crossing the map I constantly see my gunner owning everything in sight with a great combo of TV and guns. The funny thing is that I wasn't even really attempting to line him up for shots, he just nailed em on the fly.

Anyway, finally we got taken out. He happened to be the first one to the chopper upon respawning and he said that due to him being a great gunner and me being a good pilot, that I should fly. He hit F2 and off we went for more ownage.

Another interesting fact is that other than a quick sentence or two, a word was never spoken between us. We simply knew what the other person expected of us and did it. I would watch where his head was looking and if he was firing right, I rotated the aircraft right to give him a better picture of the area.

Unfortunately, this was a VERY rare experience but like some have said previously, it takes time to get to that point. Practice makes perfect.

I had a simular experience tonight, where someguy called mayhem333 turned out to be a better gunner than any gunner in my clan, and this even without the use of Voip...

I would roughly line him up and before or after my spot, he would fire tv without hesitation...

Mayhem333, if you are reading this, you rock..!

Apparently there's been a tweak added where choppers without pilots will be much more unstable than they are now. Solo pilots will have to have a lot more altitude when they switch seats, or they'll be sucking a lot of dirt.
ive also heard that if you try and kill your gunner out of bounds, when he takes enough damage to die so does the chopper. it was from a reputable source also.

most of those fhm guys tk their passengers, or just leave them in the dust or even shoot them in the back. just so they can have the chopper to themselves.

They're not even that good... I routinely hand them their glutes, though I have to admit that when they go in baseraping mode, things usually go their way. *shrug*

Re: Hypocracy of the solo AC pilot

I see patch 1.3 as the end of my solo career: I'll either have to

1- rely solely on my hellfires (which I can use extremely well) or
2- play with my designated gunners/pilots at all times.

Otherwise, random pilots/gunners will be the same as it is now: a f*cking blood pressure increasing experience.
Ummmmm you play on Public servers? if so your comment here is just outrageously stupid.

I mean its Public meaning every single one of the say 64 players in that server have just as much of a right to get in that chopper as anyone else regardless of anyones solo ability.

If you don't like people getting into the chopper then either 1) Stay out of the chopper yourself or 2) Dont go on public servers and buy your own server giving you the right to do what you please.

always better without copilots, one tip is to fly out of the map only with the gunner seat and let him die.
