Re: "Frag out!" Discussion about handheld explosives.

Any grief about nades and claymores mostly coming from the urban map pounders, of course mostly karkand (and the warlord palace).
Lets face it we dont really get hit with this on maps such as Oman, wake etc..
Claymores are wy out of wack since FF was enabled, some guys play just to run in spam and run out. They dont care about Tk's cause they know theyll get mutiple kills. Then there is the suiside toss..sometimes the suiside can result in a sniper dieing yet taking out 3-4 guys.
There werent meant to be offensive weapons.
And for every good sniper that likes the FF option, sorry mate people have exploited a good idea. I once had a sniper run at me..toss a claymore in my face as I blew his head off..so there I am with a claymore inches from my face...3-5 min go buy as I think "he is dead it will just disappear..guy runs up behind me..sniper that drop that gaymore in my face gets 2 kills, me and the guy who ran up behind me in the claymore in my face.

Nades..Radius is high but lets be serious not get hitting with a nade if you see the guy is easy, the downside is the ability for people to look at the UAV and chuck them 100's of feet. Im sure I could throw my nade from the warning track to home plate in a baseball field..and doing this 15-20 times repeatedly as I spam bags at my feet is a bit excessive. Given the fact that a nade shoudl be able to be thrown far just like in reality..sometimes reality conflicts with gameplay.

Boosted distance and FF claymores..to good ideas exploited on CQC maps, good use on other maps tho to be honest..not as excesive.
Some people ruin a goods thing, and this is what happens.

If anything tho I support the claymore change the most, it ruins CQC maps much more then any thing the game right now (close tie with macro divers).

Don't left click and throw the default distance...right click, hold it down for a short period and then let go. Right click provides variable tossing distance capability. If you want to drop one on someone down below you (off building for example), right click and release and it'll drop straight down.

One option im surprised has never been put in for grenades is the 'dual fire'.

One FPS, I can't remember which had it for the left mouse button, you threw a grenade as you normally do in BF2. The optional fire was for rolling a grenade in, handy for clearing buildings. :)

ITS CALLED SHRAPNEL. Thats why the explosions are smaller than the actual blast radius. NO MORE NERFS!!!! If you request one, AT ALL, get the **** out of here.

whatchu talkin bout willis? BF2's nades suck compared to 1942 and DC...

claymores are great. It was only ridiculous in the last patch when you could have like 5 clays out at a time. It is perfect with 2. It's not like clays are invisible or something. Just be smart and look before running around a corner. Anytime you die from an immovable object it is your own fault.
