If I get one with the username...Im restarting a new guy or quiting Bf2.

I dont see how it is possible unless you suck or your screrwing around.
I think I have about 800 hours game time and 90% of that is ground pounding and I have yet to get it...sooo..
Ive had games were I came close..but beofr eit could happen I snagged a few kills.
Like my #1 guy who killed me says 16, well thats cause he stold are APC and I would of rather had him chase me aroudn the main base then take the APC to the fight and make us lose the round..so I kept spawning at the same base and having him chase me and such..but once I noticed I was close to gettign the PH I respawned someweres else and grabbed 2-3 kills.

As I have a purple heart I am unable to vote in your poll without calling myself a looser.

However if you can't determine it's a bad thing by the description, I don't know what to tell ya.

Well personally I got it when I was trying to ge my basic pistol badge. I would have about 5:10 kills/deaths but I said if I have bad ratio I go easy on them and not rape with my pistol and let them to kill me some time. Normally I dont think I would ever get it since ALWAYS have better KDR than lets say 0,8 and after 10kill streak I leave the server.

As I have a purple heart I am unable to vote in your poll without calling myself a looser.

I got mine in a game that I dont even remember playing....apparently according to my buddies, I jumped on TS one night after spending 300 bones at the bar. I don't even remember coming home that night much less playing.

Oh well, once again alcohol and Battlefield dont mix

I got it and thought i got it for a good reason. I then read the medal requistes and thought.. ahh crap. When i read this post.. i was like.. yeah the medal sucks by the way its written, but deep down inside maybe it doesnt.

What if you played on a map where you were practically ALMOST killing all your targets. I mean.. you shoot them 2 times, they shoot you 3 times.. you die.. they run away at 10% life to heal up but it happened over and over again.

What if the medal showed that you put alot of effort into the round.. but just got unlucky and were killed many times when you were attacking an enemy. What if it showed that you busted your ass on the ground, attacked multiple enemies and just got the short end of the stick when it came to who died first.

I think if THAT was the description and reason you got this medal... it would be a medal that many people would love to have. Means you didnt wimp out and run away from the fight.. but sat there and tried your hardest to kick ass.

That how i see my medal... cause i got it day 2 of owning the game on a map where i went like 6-28 but was getting base rapped, assaulted, and tank attacked yet i didnt give up and busted my ass to try and pull off a win.

If the designers made a medal that meant you were crap..then it wouldnt be called the purple heart. That would be mocking the real purple heart.. and if anyone knows someone who got a purple heart in real life... if you mock em for it.. they would kill you. The purple heart was for real soldiers who fought thier ass off and had many members die in the process. To mock that would be a disgrace to real life war heroes.

if i ever died 25 times in one round of a video game, i would give up gaming for good. youve got to be incredibly **** to die that many times.

all i know is that i got mine when i was going for my knife badges. i think that unless you r a really good player (or just lucky :)), everyone who has a knife badge will also have the purple heart

Wow, That's the best description I've ever heard...there is a guy in my unit that has one, he has a scar from armpit to hip...the truck he was in was hit by an IED. it sent schrapnel all throughout him, he has pins in his feet and legs...but he is still coming to work everyday and doing what he has to do for his country

I got it deliberatly, these topics are always coming but, its an award big deal. Depends on which way you look at. All it means is you got 5 kills and 20 deaths in a round, so I just want to say, for the people who have it, it doesn't mean your noob at all, it can mean you got it on purpose, you wanted it for your collection, it looks cool, its a medal. What does it matter? most of the top players have it, does that mean they are noobs? I have seen people who have a top k/d ratio with weapons as well and have the purple heart, I have also seen people who suck with like 0.42 ratio at 50 k + points and don't have the purple heart. So you can't judge someone by if they have this medal or not, it doesn't mean ****.

Thankfully i have never earned the PH, but its looks alright. Didnt know that it was bad at first when I played the game. But it differs in the real world, that if you do win the PH, you get more respected.

I think it's great and it's not that easy either, I had to kill myself 20 times without killing someone else in the meantime :) .
