Yes, I think I've slowed down some. Although I'm often AT using the DAO-12 so that may lower my accuracy rating. My 14 yr old son plays and can aquire targets easier than I can and think/play faster it seems. But at times I'm on the same server as him on oposing teams, we'll hunt for each other and I can often beat him tactically which is just experience.

But in my defense, he has a 6800GS to my X1600 so I like to blame that. And I really need to get new glasses. And I work on computers all day so my eyes are tired by the time I get home. And.......
    Way to "represent" pops

    peace:)

In a low ping server, i get one shot kills, second shot for each is because i am usto playin on our teams server, 100ping, and it would take atleast 4 shots for someone to hopefuly die.

About taking out 3 people right away, the AK101 is the best, i shot down an alleyway, and took out 3 support guys with one clip as they all dived to the ground.
I do that too, but have you ever had 1 of those "death streaks" where you hit every 1 @ least once, if not twice before they killed you?

          Age:28
          Accuracy: 22.14

I find that I have plateaued since I was about 23 and havent really gone downhill. I was in a CS Clan back in the beta 4 days (before most people who play today even knew it existed) and I was decent... Also, in BF2, that 22% acc. number isnt really representative... sniper accuracy is a good estimate, as is Assault Rifle accuracy, thats my opinion though... My sniper accuracy is 42.7% while my assault rifle is like 19%...

I dont drink when I play... because that would be drinking alone, and thats just pathetic. I drink with friends and when Im with friends Im not playing BF2, heh.

I'm 16, started playing UT when I was 10, I also played RS(Rouge Spear) at the time too. I then moved to Raven shield, now I am playing this. there were a few different games inbetween, just don't feel like mentioning them.

            Accuracy 23.97%
            SPM 3.5429
            K/D Ratio 2.4420

            Kills
            Total & Streak 15,717 / 49
            Per Minute 1.146
            Per Round 18.491

            Deaths
            Total & Streak 6,436 / 14
            Per Minute 0.469
            Per Round 7.572

I wasn't really good at UT, but I would get in the top 3 almost everytime.

              Re: Age Vs. Twitch ability.

              I'm 40.
My accuracy is around 22-23% (handle is FU_Moyno if you need to check)
During a serious session I drink 3-6 beers and smoke 1-2 bowls.

I'm new to FPS games coming from RTS and MMO's so this style is still fairly new to me. Although twitch and comfort with FPS is one thing, I seriously think framerate and latency play a major part in accuracy.

                How am I doing?

Sorry for the side topic, but unusally, there seems to be mature people in this thread. If anyone would care to, could you please look me up "marspilgrim" and let me know if you think my stats are good, average, below average? I don't chase stats and focus on the team win. But I'd like to know how I'm doing in the overall world of BF2. Just wondering. Thanks!

Okay, thanks. Your're right, it's fun and I don't care really. Just wondering. I'd rather play towards a team win, and when I command we almost always win if anyone listens. I'll jump out to AT a tank even though I'm likely to die. Doesn't bother me. My son drives me crazy because he almost never spots enemys because "somebody will steal my kill!" And he's always bugging me about all the ribbons can crap I could get if I tried. Kids these days. That's what's wrong with America.

I'll echo SciFiMan's question -- anybody have any pointers for me based upon my stats? My in-game ID is the same as my username here. I'll state that this is my one and only account, so it includes the entire learning curve from when I first started playing.

Also, I have an accuracy question -- does anyone else feel like accuracy correlates with ping? On a great day, I might get into a server with a ping of 80. Most of the time it's 100-130. I'd like to think that maybe this is partially to blame for my poor accuracy (but maybe I just can't aim for crap). :)

i wouldnt say that especially with the leading, drop and need to hit with the sniper rifle twice. the game is just too hectic and busy for the bullet drop and the sheer amount of leading needed.
this game in no way reflects anyones aim, skill or reactions, because it was n00biefied and nerfed really badly.

I appreciate your post but in an off topic way, disagree with the above statement.

Truly, if you can't do it alone then is it worth doing? I know we are taught that a sign of alchoholism is to drink alone.

But I think people that have to be amongst a flock of sheep, drinking at some party or bar to enjoy themselves, are a tad more pathetic. I enjoy drinking. I enjoy my own company. I enjoy gaming. If it's not good to drink alone, what about being with other people is going to make it good? Don't get me wrong. I drink and party down with my friends too. But I have no issue or concern about sitting down to a night of drinking and fragging by myself. How is that pathetic?

Not picking a fight with ya brotha. Just a friendly discussion.

But we are all playing the same game? And some are better than others.. So if it's not aim, skill or reactions what do you attribute the disparity? ONLY those things can distinguish one player from another on a level field of play, regardless how "nerfed" that field is. I just don't understand your logic here.

There is about a quarter left when i'm done. It's a beverage man. Jeff Lebowski,... this truly is a man unable to achieve on a level field of play.

It's not like I'm gonna get so drunk I'll pee on your rug Dude.
