How to stat pad without making it too obvious

A couple of nights ago I played on a Special Forces only server - 64 player maps (each map played twice) – and during my time on the server our side lost every one. Here are the reasons why (with comments):
    1. The majority of the other team’s ranks were way above ours. I’ve seen this on a few servers where I continually end up on a badly experienced team – particularly Wake Island-only servers. Can this be determined by the admin as players join a game?
    2. The sides were not swapped for the second round of the map. OK the guys running the game can do exactly what they want but if they’ve racked up the points in the first round they can do it again in the second. As for us changing tactics, this was difficult based on the next three reasons. Also I didn’t want to leave the server as I wanted to play all of the SF maps and I wanted to see what the other side did next.
    3. The other team base-raped the SAS non-cap base on Warlord. They were on us suspiciously quickly with a tank and APC and then they arty’d the crap out of us.
    4. The other team spawn-camped the spawnpoint to the west of the SAS non-cap base in Night Flight. I think there are only two places that you spawn: at the top of a slope on one building, and behind a dumpster by the same building. Easy for another team to camp.
    5. The other team base-raped the submarine in Devil’s Perch. Again, suspiciously quickly, the other team were on us with an APC and several RIBs when we first spawned on the sub. So why not spawn at the spawnpoint on the east of the map? Well, because that was in enemy control when we first spawned on the map. Strange.
    6. We were crap… that includes me – just look at my stats. At least I can blame it on being a newb and my age - 40 years old. I’m sure it takes my brain several microseconds more to register that the person standing in front of me does not have a blue nickname hovering over his head

I do think I’m an astute observer – so my point? Cheap and easy tactics (points 3, 4 and 5) are, I believe, a form of stat padding. Combine this with a repeat of the same map with the same sides and you’ve pretty much doubled your points. The speed with which the enemy were on us (or had already taken a spawnpoint) also suggests some tweaking of the server settings. I’m no expert, but is there some way the admin can delay one side first joining the map, just as they can maybe determine what side you end up on?

I’m expecting the usual replies of “well that’s just war” or “it’s only a game”. Don’t even bother. If I get 1,500 at the start of a game of Monopoly and you get 3,500 (as well as three rolls of the dice before me and occasional dipping in the bank), who’s more likely to win?

Suspiciously quickly? Well, They might have damn good PCs. I'm almost always first in, basically giving me first choice of vehicles + the ability to go cap a base before the enemy are done loading/TKing each other for jets. For instance, on Mashtuur, I'll go capture the enemies' tank spawn, wich can seriously change the outcome of a game

Were all of those guys related? Eg. in the same clan? If they are, and they've all got Uber-PCs, they could have just taken a quadbike to capture that spawn while the rest of em go out to baserape you lot

Yeah I think I was there, I remember the warlord round, this guy EGG had a pickup truck at the back of the UCB shooting at everything that moved while two other guys managed to steal the SAS' APC & tank. And on Devil's perch they had a BTR90 shooting at the sub. But I also remember how none of them played AT and just ran around in circles like headless chickens.

It's not stat padding, it's just spawn raping to the extreme. Can't really blame people for taking advantage of it.

Think it was either Freddyshouse or the NANO server, don't remember exactly which.

Sounds familiar. I dont have a high score/rank, but then again I dont put in that many hours. I sometimes think clans/server admins do this, get a team of high scorers & then let anyone else join the other team. Its not "stat padding" in its stictest definition, but its getting points very easily - which is Stat Padding in my book. Players like this dont want a fair competition, they just want their points - hence the raping also. I just shake my head & find another server.

That was the one. I also can't remember what server it was. But I do remember the name EGG because on five or six occasions he drove like a lunatic into the non-cap base on Night Flight with a smoking jeep

thats really true. fast pc's can really give an advantage. some servers have the start time set to 45 seconds which really evens it out.
last week I was the first one to spawn on my team at the chemical factory on Mass Destruction. I had spawned as sniper and was gonna go for the chopper. just as I spawned I saw a empty 4-wheeler on the map roll a few feet at my front door and knew somone with a really fast computer had spawned well before everyone and made it all the way to our main base. I tossed down a couple claymores within seconds of spawning and luckily killed him going for our main flag. :p

              Solution.

Expand the maps twice the size that way all the team will load in before the first uber hungry base raper gets halfway there regardless of how he or she gets over there.

                1. Are you telling me that natural talents such as quick reflex is unfair advantage?

                2. The other team get the same stuff as you do, in fact, YOU have the advantage of being able to spawn continuously on submarine, you are the one with 3500 and losing.

                3. I don't understand the whole "no raping of UCB" argument. If you get pushed back everytime you try to assualt the island, I am not going to just sit there, I paid for the game, I need to get some action too.

No. But some people obviously play more than others & are better at it, nothing wrong with that. But when good players take on poorer players just to get some easy points, then thats just a cheap shot !

I dislike that to, but that doesn't mean it's cheap. Clans paid for the server and they would like to work as a team. A team of even medicore players can easily overwhelming a handful of good players.

On many such clan server, I can get higher score than all of their squad member's score combined using infantry, but I don't like it, because you die much quicker when you are doing 1v3.

                      TEAM WORK

Doesn't matter what your rank is (to an extent), if everyone works together, GG

BUT there are always idiots, TK-ers, Solo-ers, and NEW PLAYERS (see how i didn't use the word "n00bs'')

SO some times we're on the good team, and some times we're not...

Doing that will actually give the folks with faster PC's a bigger head start since their PC will load the larger map quickly while the slower PCs take even longer to load it. Solution denied...

                          I hadnt thought of that.

Then again the crappy PC's should be tossed and new ones built eh?

It sounds to me like you just got on a bad team. Trust me, it happens every now and then - you'll get on a team where nobody works together, everybody is running to and fro without any idea as to what the hell they should do, and the enemy is beating the crap out of you. My suggestion would just be to leave and find another server with more even teams.

I once played SF Devil's Perch. Against 3-4 Colonels and one of them was BushViper. On a 32 player server. No one on my team had a rank higher then mine. It was slaughter but i still managed to get the bronze falling in a couple points behind BushViper.

Those guys must not know balancing. They stole our apc and were spawn killing us and so forth. I left after 2 rounds.

This was the second time I have encountered BushViper and both of them werent pleasant.
