Re: 1.3 patch, radio should have been fixed

I am all for this idea, mostly for the volume control option. I have already turned my VOIP volume down because you get a 12 yrd in the squad and he starts screaming, not realizing it is distorting. This is the next think I would like fixed when it comes to enhancement options.

Is there anyway to configure that audible in your Localization file? I specifically want to get rid of the Enemy Inf. stuff. I like to know where a sniper is, and I want to hear someone ask for health, even tell me 'first aid here' sometimes.

It really ****ing ticks me off when people don't spot things. I can't count the number of times I have run into a tank or something right in the middle of my team that nobody has bothered to spot. I would almost prefer some kind of automatic script which spots everything a player moves his crosshair over.

I dont really care, weather the commander calls out enemy, also the gunner needs to spot things too. The commander should only call out jets/helis, vehicles that can do harm to your team (armor, apc), and spotting things when your team is doing something important(capping a flag, defend a base, etc) What I hate is people who press q+fire constantly even when they do something, it distturbs the game. Id prefer to leave the radio in the game, its more realistic, but people tend to abuse it. Also hate it when people spot wrong things purposly, like Enemy boat spotted, Enemy AA vehicle spotted, enemy helicopter spotted, enemy aircraft spotted IN KARKAND.

Do you get commander responses as a Rogue player? Just curious... I hardly ever go it alone thats why I ask.

My brain automatically filters out "Enemy infantry spotted," and "Hostile forces, over!".

I just fail to comprehend it, by default.

Besides, you NEED the radio sometimes.

                Examples:

                "Artillery, your area!"
                "Supply drop at your location."
"Start fighting or I'll find someone who can!"

That last one gets me going whether I like it or not.

I think that the primary reasons we see so much radio spam nowadays is because people use spotting to check hiding spots for enemies. It's kind of a cheap ass wallhack as it lets you spot people through all kinds of stuff. Also, spotting accuracy is buggy sometimes; I've had many occasions where I tried to spot units only to hear "enemy units on the move!" even though I was aiming right at the bastard!

It's a great feature of the game. Sure some 12 year old occasionally spams it, but it's saved my ass on numerous occasions.

Also, there's nothing more frustrating to spot a tank or apc and have the moron tanker on your team completley ignore it in favor of tank whoring a spawn.

Frankly, it should be used more.

rather the commander using uav than commander spaming the radio

Any person playing by themselves = Rogue. Just saying do you hear this when you are playing by yourself?

                          Spotting is your friend!

I do wish it only gave troops in the local area the radio message tho.
That would be great. Another fix needed is the elimination of enemy units tags in the headsup, unless they're spotted by the commander or a friendly.
