1.3 patch, radio should have been fixed

i reckon it should have been made an option whether or not to have teh radio on
i know i can play better without "enemy infantry spotted"
    every 5 seconds ,
i played a game last night with no commander and it was almost my best score EVER ,(which isnt much  )
    anyhoo ,
the patch is virtually out isnt it ?
and what are our chances of this happening ?

why would you want that? id prefer to have "enemy infantry spotted" in my ear constantly than to get constantly killed by sum1 who i have no idea where they are. i play best with a commander, and i know that i couldn't have gotten some of the badges or medals without a commander helping me out.

If you blame the radio chatter for your (self-admitted) low scores, then you are simply in denial. :p

Does make me groan a bit to think of the number of times I've spotted a badguy sneaking up on one of my grunts, only to watch the kinfing ensue. I love it best when I give the dude a good tenseconds warning just to watch him continue to look the in the exact wrong direction.

          Spotting is your friend!

I do wish it only gave troops in the local area the radio message tho.

Yeah, that would be nice. Maybe if we pester them enough, they'll do that in BF2142. :)

It would work out better for everyone if the commander scan showed the red blobs on every player's radar, that way he wouldn't have to spam the radio with enemy forces spotted every nano second.

BTW id rather have the commander spoting then see the red blobs the scans buggy it dosnt pick everything . One thing i would like to see fixed is when an enemy is in a vehical and only in the gunners seat no matter what i do i cant spot them ill spot them ill hear the message but nothing starts to flash on the mini map (and IMO if it dosnt start flashing red on the mini map its not been spoted properly).

well , actually i played for years in bf1942 and DC without this crap
every single round now is enemy infantry spotted, enemy infantry spottedenemy infantry spottedenemy infantry spottedenemy infantry spottedenemy infantry spottedenemy infantry spottedenemy infantry spotted

call me old fashioned but as a lot of ppl play the karkand servers
so i play there to get heaps of practice
but call me crazy i just assume theres a bad guy behind every door and around every corner
i dont need radio chatter CONSTANTLY
i want squad communication ,on the mic
i actually played a server about a week ago and there was no commander on
                    so the radio was quiet-ish
and you can hear the USA guys saying "grenade!" and such an such

                    so there

The commander radio is bloody annoying.

Commanders think that they need to spot every single enemy.

                      Enemy infant...Enemy infantry....Enemy spotted....Enemy boat...Enem....Enem...Eneme...Enemy palm tree...Enemy spo...Enemey...Enemey..Enemy jet...Enemy inf...Enemy inf...Enemy infantry...Enemy infantry spotted...Enemy inf...Enemy inf...Enemy inf...Enemy inf...

STOP ALREADY!!! I GET IT!!! THERE ARE BAD GUYS AROUND!!!

I blame pixies and fairies for my bad scores :).

Commanders are suppose to do that but what I do in this situation is spot one out of a group rahter than each individual, if they are clustered I point out 2 or 3 not 5 or 6... VOIP works great oo, use it. Much rather hear a Commander holler, David you ahve 8 guys on your sex o'clock than "Enemy Inf...,Enemy Inf...,Enemy inf...etc"

I would die and go to heaven if THEY'D JUST GIVE US A VOLUME CONTROL OPTION!

That way, the nice pretty little red icons would still appear on our mini-maps (as well as the on-screen text), but we wouldn't be so BOMBARDED with audible radio spam that we didn't hear that un-spotted guy sneaking up behind you.

The spam gets so annoying sometimes that I have NO idea where the bullets are coming from. I paid for a good sound card, and it's being rendererd useless by noise.

Dont you get command points for spotting while being commander. I mean I think you get pointsa if someone on your team kills the player you spotted...correct me if I am wrong but I think you do.
