    Re: the RIB replaced this?!?!

if the RIB's just would be able to go faster it wouldn't be such a big problem because then they aren't so easy to hit. even my 4hp, 2.6 meter zodiac goes faster than the RIB.

It's not the same b/c the carriers are just objects, not vehicles. BF1942's carriers could move though. you could take off from a carrier while it was sinking. That was fun.

Makes no damn sense when NovaLogic did it with Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising with no probs! They had both the LCAC which could carry like 3 or 4 vehicles along with the MK V (SEAL's boat) and they both worked beautifully. Kind of lame if you ask me.

A jet-powered RIB IRL with the same load would easily go about 40-50 mph. and before people say: BF2 IS NOT LIKE RL!!! yes, i know. I still think it would be much better if they would be faster in-game.

RHIB's are not really designed for combat purposes. At least the ones in game anyway. They are primarily transport vehicles with a .50CAL for defense. You can make them faster with engine changes and the likes but those are more special purpose boats. I'm sure that the former BM3 can back a fellow SQUID up here.
