Is it realistic to expect a free booster? (Such as Armored Fury)

I'm wondering.... EA has made gobs of cash from the BF Franchise and I dont recall a single freebie coming for anything BF2 related... would a free booster pack be something you think EA would even consider?

Other games do it sometimes, Unreal Tournament had booster packs that included all sorts of things from new weapons and vehicles to new maps and game modes... Would a couple new maps and a couple new vehicles ever be something you think EA would give away as a sign of good faith toward their loyal community?

Well, EA is in it for the money, obviously.

I think that maybe a new map here or there with a patch, or a BF1942 mod (like BFV did with 1942) would be nice, but I really don't see the problem with charging $10 for the content in the booster packs.

I think everybody would LOVE to see free content from EA. We did get Wake 2007, not that it amounts to much. But BF2 has been completely different from BF1942. That is why we would/should expect free stuff. Because it has happened in the past. But I think it's unlikely at this point. I hope they would surprise us, but I don't think it's about anything but the financial gains these days.

UT had huge booster packs with new content that everyone enjoyed.
BF2 has something about calling in humvees which probably wont work properly.

EA and free should never be used in the same sentence. Either hell would freeze over or EA's staff would have to sniff a lot of coke to make a free booster.
