I solo if no one jumps on, im the kind that picks up the closest teammate, wether its a heli/tank/apc/buggy/bomber....even though it dosnt get me points :p

I just had THE most incredible experience ever

I joined a server, played a round, the map changed to sharqi. Usually I'd just spawn as Medic/Support to defend the City Entrance, but for once I thought I'd give the chopper a shot.

Incredibly, there was only one other guy there, he was a Captain, and actually knew what he was doing. Got voice comm. set up, lined him up, he took every shot perfectly, I didn't crash once and flew perfectly the whole round. In the end we both had an incredible round with 0 deaths. We both complimented each other on the good game, and actually left happily for a change

Then I woke up :p

Nah J/K, it actually happened, but stuff like that only comes about rarely

no exactly. i should respect people in a VIDEO GAME cause... i should just make it a top priority right? people in a video game? lol :)

i dont see what is so difficult to understand here.....the people playing the video game or whatever they are doing are still people......so yes, your top priority when playing, should be to respect your fellow gamers, if you are incappable, or not mature enough, you will have no friends, and you will be banned from any decent server....

You still get the driver kill assist point everytime they blast a fool.

but the chances of a passenger getting a kill in some of the vehicles arent so great

I let gunner on the tank take the infantry kills...unless there is an AT in the area.

Yeah, like the APC, but if you are driving an APC then there is a greater chance YOU will be getting kills instead .

That depends...

1- If the bird drops like a rock and requires a full power-up to get back in the air, yes.

2- Otherwise, solo pilots will just be really high...

solo chopper is just plain stupid, ...

There's merit to soloing if no combo on your team is good enough to use the helo properly. I'm assuming you simply forgot that or perhaps took it as a given?

Quite possibly the most entertaining round I've ever played was like that. I was ground-pounding as USMC on Dragon Valley, and happened to be near a helipad as an AH pilot was taking off. He saw me and shouted "hop in." We proceeded to fly around, raining fire upon the PLA forces. What a great time! I think we might have died once after joining up.
I really appreciate it when pilots give me these sort of opportunities. I'm no great gunner, but I really learn a lot and start getting the hang of it when an accomodating pilot picks me up.

I actually had the pleasure of flying with you the other day. I'm a good gunner, almost never missing a TV guided shot, and as a 2nd. luitenant, someone who people seem to trust enough just to give me a go at gunning. Yet you didn't even ask me to get out, you just flew straight to the edge of the map, thinking I would actually be stupid enough to sit there and die.

I have heard lots of complaints about you guys before, and after reading what you said, it's definetely no surprise

By the way, teamkilling other players to get back at EA makes absolutely no sense at all

although, as you said 'my fun is more important to me than others' pretty much implies what kind of person you are.

The entire iLL clan should just be banned from the internet (if only)

Not only that, you guys are absolute sh*t anyway, you guys were dropping down dead by the bunches on Karkand. whenever your clanmates on my team weren't TKing me in their APCs, that is

Well I've got a way to deal with these ****ers. Couple of C4 surprises in the side of the helo as an life insurance. ****er takes me out of the boundary, I'll jump out push the trigger and watch the fireworks :laugh:, then suicide and waiting for the helo again. If I don't get in, I'll put the C4 just in case, watch where the helo is going and if he tries to pull the same move with some other player, well don't see the fireworks but still it feels good to know I'm spoiling some ****ers day

Anyhow these "kings of the sky" are whineing how some players can't shoot. Well they never learn if the helo is reserved only for those who already can. I'm not any uber pilot or gunner but getting better because I've had my chances with the copters.

I decided to give solo attack chopper piloting a go since everyone had said how easy it was. I loaded up into an empty server and practiced on stationary targets for awhile. Seeing as how I fly with a joystick, it took quite awhile to get the rythm down. But, after a couple hours, I could hit every target I aimed for without any problems. And, instead of hovering before going into the secondary seat, I would approach from above as that usually diminishes the spin effect by a lot.

After I was done practicing, I loaded up into a 64 slot server with only a few people and practiced against live targets. I hit only about 50% and was killed far more often by pilot/gunner combo choppers.

Just to make this perfectly clear, I don't mind that EA/Dice allows players to fly this way. The only thing I mind, and it was mentioned before, is that while in the secondary seat, AA cannot gain a lock. Hopefully this will be addressed as it is completely lame that people who do this have a "free ticket" out of AA jail.

By the way, chopper pilots who kill off their gunner by going out of bounds are perma-banned on the spot at MoonGamers Oman. Don't even think about doing that there.
