The mere fact that I shot down a J-10 with a JSF, that IS "dogfighting" for the JSF... What do you expect me to do... fly around with my ****ing missle mode on??? I don't think so... there is no "dogfighting" in this patch... ESPECIALLY on wake.. it is all very 1-sided.

you say you are unconvinced of my dogfighting ability... Would you disagree that the whole point of dogfighting... is OUTSMARTING someone? If I sneak around... in bomb mode... and then wait for the right time, and kill someone... without them knowing... just because they didn't know, you are saying, "oh thats not dogfighting"... ok, sure, well.. its not. But then if that isn't considered dogfighting, WHAT is? If you talk of the JSF vs J-10... dogfighting does NOT exist. There is no way to see "who is better at dogfighting", because even in the airmaps... you and I both know damn well... its whoever gets lucky and gets behind someone, and fires all of their missles off.. and then hope 2 of them hit.

There is no dogfighting in this game... these levels are tiny as hell.

Stop trying to discredit me for lack of "dogfighting" because I think, if someone gets taken down in a J-10, by the JSF... the guy in the JSF deserves some credit.

Seeing as "PLA" is in your name, I can just see that you are mad because you fly J-10's.

Not as "clean" as I would have put it, but he convey's my general point about, "There is no dogfighting in BF2" (in the traditional ,Game-Cannons,sense of the word of course). Considering the extreme imbalances in the Jets, you're better off putting your opponet down by any sneaky means you can come up with; vs. doing the 500m airborne shuffle.

Also I know fine well I have never seen metalica in a server ever because I never play on U.S.A. servers.

And then there was this server that I used to play on... I dont remember it.. but on sharqi you always used to take the cobra, and snipe people out, saying that it was YOUR chopper... and then you would go and rape the **** out of the havoc spawn, and you would steal it.

The only pilot I've come across who can chase me all round, constantly shoot me out of the sky and allow me back up in the air for more is Kiotee. He doesn't camp the airfields as I've seen done constantly by some of the afore mentioned pilots. His K/D ratio is amazing for a pilot who chooses not to camp the runway for easy kills. He may not be the absolute best in skill, I've shot him down as have others, but he certainly has the best attitude/skill combination out of any pilot I've seen.

If you digest any posts I made before you probably KNOW that I am VERY vocal about the J10 BS. I am very pro PLA but even I think this J10 crap is outrageous. You rarely see me fly at all in the server because I hate to camp for jet. I usually ground pound as US or use tank as PLA.

I fly around with bomb mode a lot too, but I just don't see the need to brag if you shot someone down when they slow down to refuel (as a matter of fact, if you are in J10 you have to slow down quite considerably to get that 2 bombs). I just don't expect someone to go in and tell everyone how they beat the top pilots with an inferior jet "during a dogfight". You are really giving off the impression that you have won a dogfight (definition of dogfight here means active search and destroy between two jets, BOTH know that they are fighting each other). If you can shake off a J10 while he's looking for you and then circle back on to him with in 5 seconds, I give you the honor, because I have experienced it first hand (a CAL pilot did so, but it was F35 vs. Mig29, I was in Mig29). However, since you have never done so, I won't hold you high as a dogfight pilot. In fact, 3rd name and PLA_purelyred depletes more enemy tickets than you do, so what if you follow them around all round and shot them down once or twice per round?

I really haven't touched jets since 1.2.. Not properly, anyway. We should have an in-forum competition sometime.. No missles, same jets, real dogfights. That would be sweet.

missile accompanies the age of jetfighter. A competition between modern jets without missile is totally absurb and if this is the case Russian/Chinese jet would own almost all US jets because they are more manuverable.

THe only realistic jet-dogfight without missile scenario is probably a dogfight among the first generation of jet fighters after WWII (Mig15, Mig17). I am surprised why hasn't anyone released a game dedicated to this generation of jet yet.

I like that attitude, I do this myself aswell. What Ive noticed is that there are MANY pilots that respond positively when you ask a chance. If you dont ask for it, half the blame goes to you

The only difference between these 2 jets is that F35B needs throttle control in order to effectively compete with MiG. As a matter of fact, if used correctly, F35B becomes superior to MiG. I can chase a F35B pilot all day long with a MiG for the simple fact that hes running with maximum speed. I can chase a MiG pilot all day long because I fly at his airspeed. Pure and simple. You have just brought another comparision which isnt really something special.

Oh thats probably me. To be honest, that's impossible to tell and the guestion is a bit stupid. Since 1.2 dogfight skill doesn't matter anymore because every decent (read one of the bests) can take down enemies either with cannon or even with missiles in seconds. Pre-patch shooting down a decent pilot was next to impossible if you didn't surprise 'em.

What really matters is air-to-ground skill. Just keeping the enemy J-10 or whatever busy has no impact, repeat NO impact on outcome. And I'm sure you all know why. It's fun when you face an enthusiastic a2a pilot and just manage to avoid him all the round and bomb the **** out of enemy team while this genius keeps seeking for you doing nothing for his team.

I don't understand your logic. I am not jealous at all. I never claimed that I am such and such good pilot. I am more of an all around player. I merely said that I have fought against good pilots, and unfortunately, metillica isn;'t at their level. I have flew against Top:NEXAR and some of the best CAL pilots, the skill differences between them and some people in this thread is significant. However, certain people here still claim that he constantly shots them down. I have a lot of doubt about that.

By your logic, F35 should never have any trouble against J10 because it's faster on afterburn.

I do that all the time... don't think you know how I fly, when you have A) never flown in the air the same time as me, or B) judge me by what you see in-game (I have played thousands of games. Just cause I do something one round, doesn't mean thats what I do all the time)
