Its pretty much safe to assume that you wont get a KDR over 100 by dogfighting, and I also think that dogfights is what mrt had in mind. From my personal experience- there has been nothing good about a pilot who rapes the uncappable (dogfighting wise).

RAM- 512 MB
GFX- 128 MB ATI Radeon 9550 SE
CPU- 3.0 P4

I get to set some on medium, but I always fly with effects on HIGH. I remember reading that from that tweaking guide and it said it wont affect your perfomance (much). Anyway, good luck. I had to chase planes without contrails for 5 months and I think that was a great excercise :laugh:

Damn mate works like a charm I did experiance some (very little though) lag but it wasn't anything major. But it's a bit easier now to follow the jets and the bombing effects are damn cool

Damn mate works like a charm I did experiance some (very little though) lag but it wasn't anything major. But it's a bit easier now to follow the jets and the bombing effects are damn cool

You can set them to MEDUIM, and you wont loose the contrails. But from what I notice, the jump from MEDUIM to HIGH with effects isnt that big. Glad I could help.

Have none of you played with inc|loki? Although his stats don't say he's that amazing he is really a great pilot when you play a game with him...

I've also flown against anubis, who is.. well.. was a good pilot (what happened to him..?) and shot him down alot.

Planewhore, I used to play with him. He joined my vent server and we played all that week. He wanted to go on china every time and get in the J-10.. so I lost some respect for him over that, but nonetheless.. hes probably the best pilot in the game. He's also damn good on the ground... probably in the top 100 on the ground also :laugh:. And I have shot him down plenty of times (he wasn't checking his 6).

Knowing you are from central / west coast america area and Loki and Anuibs are UK and only ever really play on EA UK servers or TV2 Norway servers you would never be able to hit a stationary vehicle with 150+ ping yet alone a moving jet

no offense dude, but if you stalk a pilot all round and attack while he's doing something else, it's not really dogfight. I am still unconvinced of your dogfight ability.

Ive shot down pilots with 400 ping, them having 50. Main problem with ping is that cannon becomes useless. In fact, I never play on Europe server, mostly stick to USA. And I have an average 200 ping in US servers. Less effective machine guns make the chase more enjoyable.

Please, if you dont know what youre talking about, dont try to offend anyone. This thread is very close to ego-masturbation anyway, lets not prove that it is.

I used to be retarded when looking for servers and I didn't know anything... So I used to play in that TV2 server all the time. And anubis was in germany I think, while planewhore was def. US.

Don't tell me that I am making up stories..

150 ping isn't that bad sometimes. Sometimes it says you have 40.... but its acting like 2,000.

There is no "Dogfighting" ability. BF2 is limited in scope to unrealistic factors...

I cannot even belevie this is a debate. I could imagine if this was like a flight combat simualtor and you guys were going through the debate of "Best Dogfighter". Not BF2 though.

Also I know fine well I have never seen metalica in a server ever because I never play on U.S.A. servers.

Youre right. Skills are relative. However, some names stand out the most. Nothing bad in trying to figure out whos what. Besides, this thread has given me a few names I´ll go look up and "test" out just to see how good/bad I am. Nothing bad with it.

You keep talking about dogfighting... WHEN did I say that I was dogfighting???

The mere fact that I shot down a J-10 with a JSF, that IS "dogfighting" for the JSF... What do you expect me to do... fly around with my ****ing missle mode on??? I don't think so... there is no "dogfighting" in this patch... ESPECIALLY on wake.. it is all very 1-sided.

If I sneak around... in bomb mode... and then wait for the right time, and kill someone... without them knowing... just because they didn't know, you are saying, "oh thats not dogfighting"... ok, sure, well.. its not. But then if that isn't considered dogfighting, WHAT is? If you talk of the JSF vs J-10... dogfighting does NOT exist. There is no way to see "who is better at dogfighting", because even in the airmaps... you and I both know damn well... its whoever gets lucky and gets behind someone, and fires all of their missles off.. and then hope 2 of them hit.

There is no dogfighting in this game... these levels are tiny as hell.

Stop trying to discredit me for lack of "dogfighting" because I think, if someone gets taken down in a J-10, by the JSF... the guy in the JSF deserves some credit.

Seeing as "PLA" is in your name, I can just see that you are mad because you fly J-10's.
