Yes FilePlanet sucks. I wish they would stop posting files there. If you are a member of the PlanetBattlefield forum you can use that login to download the files.

    http://www.forumplanet.com/planetbattlefield/

You still have to wait in line on some of the files due to many users accessing FilePlanet.

You can also download Hayabusa's maps from:

    www.dies-world.com

    -------------------
Not sure if your path to the mods will work that way. I don't think it will launch your mod. Try it and let me know. If not, then follow my instructions above in an earlier post.

I didn't like it neither until I learned the map well and scored few rounds with over 100 points. I think it's a great map. Recommend playing engineer in armor or attack chopper pilot/gunner. From personal experience I can tell you that some maps that you dislike while noob, will start liking later on. With Karkand I have the oposite experience.

Any reason why some of these SP maps crash right when you click "JOIN GAME" or when you're in commander mode and you decide you're killing the other team so you should switch teams but once you switch to the other team the get a crash to the Desktop? Does this happen to you FFOLKES?

And, can you tell me in lehman's terms how to create a shortcut? In the meantime I put your AIDE file in replacement of the default one and I put the downloaded maps in my default levels folder-after I backed up my entire BF2 directory so I can restore this if need be. Thanks in advance, Mo.

Re: Mashtuur City and Kubra Dam

Some people experience crash to desktop when they click "Join Game" because their graphic settings are set too low. Make sure they are at least set to Medium.

I have not experienced the CTD in game the way you described. Does this happen to all the maps are one in particular?

The easiest way to create a shortcut is copy the original BF2 one on your desktop.

            1. Right click on the Battlefield 2 shortcut
            2. Choose copy from the menu
            3. Then right click on your desktop and choose paste
            4. Rename the new shortcut to Unlocks by right clicking and choose Rename
            5. Right click on the new shortcut and choose Properties.
            6. In the Target line type or paste the following:

            "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/Unlocks

NOTE: This only works if you have made a mod called Unlocks. If you named it something else then replace /Unlocks with /YOURMODNAME

Re: Mashtuur City and Kubra Dam

Not all maps. I made a list of the maps I was testing out and would delete the ones that CTD and put a check mark by ones that worked well.

I'll try the graphic settings issue, and if need be, I'll try to get me a better vid. card sometime soon.

Thank you for taking the time out for me. This very much needed. Thanks.

Re: Mashtuur City and Kubra Dam

Hi. I got a new video card and more ram so my system can handle such a mod.

I now have the x1600 512mb video card as well as 1.5 gigs of ram.

I somehow can not get this mod to work now for some strange reason. I have my maps installed to here: C:\Mo's Place\BF2\mods\bf2\Single Player Mod

and inside of there are two folders, levels and AI. Should something else be there? Inside of the levels folder are all of the maps put in there just like you said.

My shortcut says this: "C:\Mo's Place\BF2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1modPath mods/Single Player Mod when I right click on it and choose properties. You know where it says "start in"? Should I change that as well and if so, what would you say I should change that to? Thanks for any help, Mo.

PS. When I start up the game the modded maps did not show.

I'm sure a workaround to this is to copy the entire BF2 directory and simply put my maps into the default levels folder there and to make a shortcut to that copied bf2 directory. I hope.

Yes, you should have these folders in your mod folder (You need to copy the BF2 folder into a new folder to make a BF2 mod (or the SF folder to make a new SF mod):

                  Volume Serial Number is CC03-07A1

Anyone know why sometimes when you click to start a map and then when it shows "Join Game" and you click to joing you get a crash to the desk top and the game is no where to be found except for a nice view of your wallpaper? Please assist. Thanks, Mo.

Re: Mashtuur City and Kubra Dam

Try running in Windowed mode (+fullscreen 0) to see if you get any errors. For example, edit the mod shortcut:

                          "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +fullscreen 0 +modPath mods/Unlocks678

These maps still work fine for me. However, xstax981 has updated his entire map pack to include all 16, 32, and 64 SP/Co-op maps.

                          http://files.filefront.com/Bf2SP64_v.../fileinfo.html

You also might need to increase your graphic settings since some maps require at least medium settings.

This is a question directly related to this exact thread. Not a bump.

Thanks. I increased the graphical settings and got a better video card so most maps will will. Sometimes some maps won't work, while it seems sometimes downloaded maps will work if they are the 64 sized version. I don't know. Like yesterday the 64 sized Mashtur map would not work but I believe it worked a few weeks ago. I haven't noticed a pattern yet, these are just my guesses thus far.

                            Thanks FFolkes
