Are you serious? You defeat yourself yet again. This guy is claiming he got a badge (which only occurs on ranked servers) on a server that was a pistol only server which is clearly against the RoE. You violate the RoE and you get penalized for it. It's really that simple.

If you are trying to argue that simply because the RoE is not immediately obvious, you've got to be kidding me. It's like law school 101 over here. Are you seriously trying to tell me if I kill someone and claim I didn't know it wasn't okay to do it that I'll be let go without punishment? Come on now, you know as well as everyone else, ignorance is NO excuse.

And as you also imply, if stats are so inconsequential to the game, then he won't mind having his reset. End of story.

Stop your blind defense tirade for this guy. Or go join him at his pistol only server and we'll be glad to turn you in also. If you are so righteous in your cause, you shouldn't care.

The point is this type of behavior is destructive to the integrity of the game and ruins the fun for everyone in the long run. It should not be tolerated.

Last time I checked, and bear with me it was a long time, the RoE was basically there to stop them being created, once they were created there was (is?) no rule, it's just a moral rule you keep to yourself.

And stop trying to make me look like a fool because I can bet you alot of people here agree with me. If EA can make a pop-up advertising their latest booster pack, why can't they make one for their rules? You seem very hooked up on rules and this and that. Just enjoy the game man, his basic pistol badge isn't going to kill you, and the fact that he's done it once isn't ruining the integrity of the game.

About my "blind defense tirade", no I won't stop. Just because you haven't set a foot wrong doesn't mean people aren't human. Humans make mistakes. Humans learn from their mistakes. This guy has learnt from his mistake and he isn't gonna do it again. It's as simple as that, now stop sucking up to EA and forget about reporting a first-time offender. If EA want to do something about it then they can, and they should only remove the badge and points from that round, nothing more, nothing less.

The point is he helped support a kp server for a period of time. Whether it's idiots like him that don't understand that type of server is dementing this game or people who don't care and are purposely destroying it, neither need to be supported, encouraged or understood. They simply need to be reset to be made an example of so it will minimize. As more people get reset the word will get out and hopefully we will minimize the idiots around here.

Honestly this guy has almost 150 posts here. You think he's clueless about this community or the problems it has? He's just being an idiot. I'm all for resetting the stats of idiots.

you guys speak of things I am not aware of and as for my 150 posts in this forum it means nothing most of my posts were in my famous thread ( MEC language mistakes )

besides come to think of it, even if EA resets my status, I wont really be that mad it's only a game. and I will prove it that I will not stop playing even if I start all over. I dont think reseting my status would effect my salary or anything.

lot of you guys here really raised my spirit back again with your helpful replies and giving my the idea of this stat padding and I thank you very much. still glad to be a part of this great forum.

dont worry about friend and I apreciate your support but I think he's brainwashed or to addict to that game or taken it to seriously as if their giving salary for ranks lol, dont let him take you down to his simple minded level. it aint worth it.

And Lord_Zorba, I won't continue this debate with you. There are too many holes in your logic to make it worthwhile to continue. We just won't get anywhere in any reasonable amount of time. Get a few more years of schooling into ya, and we can chat again. You definitely cogitate. But the end result is just mush.

apology accepted, but know this I never ment it to be stat padding, and I said fine for reseting my status coz it's only a freakin game and I wont really lose any of my salary or cut of my hands for crying out loud.

one more thing, never judge a book by it's cover. seeing is believing, if you have the chance to check my status and check if there is one and I mean ONE sign of stat padding I will personally e-mail EA DIce ROE KFC whatever my self and ask them to reset it.

If you run BF2 version 1.0 it's full of stat padders and exploiters who run verion 1.0 just to stat boost off the new players who don't know how to patch. It's kinda ridiculous...

Ranked servers must have the latest version, they have 48 hours to update, then they will be taken down or something....

If you go to the ranks for the BF2 under strategy guide and then go to the bottom it will give you a list of what is required in order to get First Sgt.

thats bull, everyone knows speed limits, general road rules because there are sign posts/tests. EA do bugger all to announce that P/K servers are against ROE, they should just shut down servers and leave the players, now if the P/K thing was in the manual or EULA then that would be acceptable.

Other games like RavenShield and I think CS have kit locks so you can have pistol and knife only so alot of people will think its allowed, if EA do bugger all then it is not fair on the player

Instead of reporting the people that went on pistol and knife server, isn't it smarter idea to report the server's admin and shut the server down? There are plenty of people that are not aware that going on those servers is against ROE. But no, lets keep the ilegal server running for almost a year, but we're gonna report the poor ingnorants that went to play there. What a joke.

if he didnt know the req for first sgt then i highly doubt it that he knew it was against the ROE to play in those type of servers.
