I thought the point the point of the transport choppers were to TRANSPORT troops to get the flag. You know, the whole teamwork thing?
Yeah using a blackhawk to get to land in wake or dalian isn't suicide... Are you playing the same game as I'm playing? The teamwork factor is people actually spawning on the bailing party.

That's because the pilot is probably 30 feet from the ground. The smart way to get troops on land (on wake and dalian) is to bring the sucker up to 200 feet and have your members halo out above the flag.
4 or 5 squad members can cap a flag in no time...but I digress....
The point of this thread is moronic pilots who use the attack choppers and then bail with a gunner inside. All these people saying it's the gunner’s fault for not having his finger on F1 need to stop taking stupid pills. It's the gunner’s job to keep his eyes open for enemies, not making sure the pilot is still there.
Even if the pilot needs to eject, DICE gave us the wonderful 'bail out' command. Q-key, click.

200 means **** for planes or attack helos. If one either goes up to or above 600 or goes out way on the flanks you have a slight chance of making it to land (against good opposition).

Yes it is and I agree witht that but I do not agree that using either jets or attack helos at transports is always inherently bad/wasteful.

How difficult is that?
I (almost) always spam the bail button before jumping. It's a laugh when people still don't understand and sits there clueless until the ground pays them a visit.

No way.
600 feet in a chopper is insane overkill for getting troops on wake island. You'll be waiting for 5 solid minutes just getting that high. In my experience, 200-300 feet is fine.
I'm not saying it's bullet proof, but I've never been shot down transporting troops over to the first flag. Just make sure you get the altitude at the carrier - not while you're heading towards the island.

Under most circumstances that is true but I'm talking about really lopsided teams with skilled flyers on the other team.
