Well the worst thing in my oppinion is their lack of imagination.

the game Enemy Territory Quake Wars, on their website they had listed that they would have the availabilty of soldiers to call in vehicles drops which meant less running and camping, this was about 4 months ago or even more.
Hmm, well ill bet tha the nest thing will be that the Support will be able to take his PKM and mount it on any wall for his teamates to use. (this was the second cool thing in ETQW orther than the Field Ops -commander to personally select the location of Arty guns anywhere on the map for some change in fun)

But anyways, ill be looking fordward to it, and ETQW

The vehicle airdrop is a great idea, from ETQW. I bet it will be limited to transport. Imagine a commander dropping a couple tanks on the carrier. It would bring whoring to a new level.

Jerry, I think you missed this post since it ended up at the bottom of the page (where no one ever reads 'em)... so here ya are:

I strongly suspect that the offending file was put into the wrong folder. It's likely that it was posted so Combat Stuidos members could all have easy access to it without having to do a mass mailing. Someone oopsed and put it in a public page.

It's all speculation, but a good application of Occums Razor. The theory fits all the facts and you don't have to make up anything extra (hoax, intentional leak, act of God in the form of escaped monkeys with web coding skills).

Anyway you slice it, it's EA's own damned fault.
For not implementing their testing better.
For not sharing the information outright.
For not generally communicating with the community better.

BTW, this isn't a slam. EA just really needs to figure out that if they weren't so tight lipped they'd find the community backing 'em up more.

That's about as close to an "answer" as you are likely to get.

You've asked this on the BF2RS forums to, as you put it, "do anything to get to the bottom of this". You then harassed admins when we refused to co-operate or violate the NDA and give you more information. I shall give you the same answer you got there.

The 1.3 patch has been in testing for quite a while now. A link to an old (and outdated) changelist was discovered by someone on the EA UK forum, and from there it spread to communities, forums, and BF2 news websites. That is the image that used to be at that address, and that is the image that has been removed. It was nothing more than an outdated changelog.

The bottom line is that the public (as an entirety) does not currently have, nor know, the up-to-date changelist. And all those who do know it, are bound by the NDA, and several layers of security which would make leaking this information be a very bad idea.

As for your show, requesting that a person violate the NDA to provide you with information can get you in just as much trouble as the person who is violating the NDA. Many admins would be happy to be a guest or 'secret informant' on your show, but we WILL not, and SHOULD not, give you any new information outside of what has been officially released by EA at this time.

NDA: Non Disclosure Agreement, meaning that you will not get anything by questioning on this forum. Please do not go any further trying to get whatever information your seeking because you will not get far. Have you ever throught there is a good reason why no one ever releases info reguarding stuff like this?

Neither you, nor your show, is going to get any 'behind the scenes' information.

I would appreciate it if you just DROPPED it.

you have to keep in mind that they are updating the engine and prepping it for 2142...basically they are trying to implement everything that can to try and not be outdone by the competition...unfortunately for them they are still ea and their version will always be 20x more buggy than anyone else's...i personally will be making my way over to quake wars more than likely, the fact that ea doesn't do anything about their released too soon/extremely buggy software unless there's competition to make them...hopefully et:qw developers will be more focused on their community rather than the money they are trying to make off the game...down with ea

i appreceate your thought but leds be real.

1. The leak is real.
2. There is NO explanation for leaking the file twice in leds say 2-4 hours?
3. if I am not asking around about this, Someone else will.

i already talked with EA about this subject. what do you think? that they will tell us exactly how it is? nope!
a simple comment like -No Comment would have suffice.


And since we are talking about NDA's
didnt you just violated that by telling about the testing phase?

Coz this is one of the 'touchy' subjects at EA.
and i hope that you DO realise by posting publicly on a site like this is kinda asking for attention. there is no such thing as internal testing program!

- but still, it would be jolly great if we get a reaction or statement from bf2rankedservers.com of some kind, in my show.
