This thread is slowly being Hi jacked. Its not about Spawn raping its base raping. 2 very different things.
Base rape is taking say an APC to the enemy uncappable flag and driving round shooting everything up. Spawn rape is where you knowingly sit behind a spawn point and shoot a guy whenver he spawns.

Base Rape is fine if its only a small amount of people doing it. Stealing assets knocking off the odd "mine!" wannabe pilot, hunting the commander of the other team(flashing white dot) and taking out his assets.
If a whole team starts doing it then it gets a bit stupid (plus it lets the enemy get some cappable flags back).
Also you can base rape in Jets (opperation clean sweep) to prevent the enemy getting out of their base or jets taking off.

No point in attacking "troops" in an enemy uncappable. Which is the problem.

if u are being spawn raped, then i would advise you to spawn somewhere else...and whats the point of defending a uncappable base? let the enemy hang out at your spawn and then go get the rest of the flags...its so simple.

uhuh and what of something like Wake Island? Jets rape the island / arty rapes the carrier destroying jets/heli's

Spawn/base camping/raping is a cheap lame tactic that is destroying any of the etiquette that makes BF2 a fun experience! If people concentrated a little more on making BF2 a FUN experience for all, instead of padding their stats, things would be far more enjoyable!
If only 1 enemy CP is left, even if it is uncappable here's a thought:- Pull back and guard surrounding Cps.
More guarding and less camping is a far rosier future for BF2!!

If by "base rape" you mean "wait next to the spawn points and kill people when they spawn," then that needs to be cut down on. Outside of that, I don't have any problems with base raping.

Base raping stinks, period. Where's the challenge in it? If you got the other team all bottled up, then it's just shooting fish in a barrel. It's no fun to be getting "raped" either. It's only a game, so treat it like one, which means play fairly.

EA should simply make non-cap bases into no-damage zones, then this whole debate would just melt away.

More people who cant play, so they want "rules" to protect them from thier inability to play a FPS, I bet you really "pwn" at single player and soon co-op with your special classmates from the home

Base raping can be anything it's up to the admin to define. I got kicked yesterday for chasing a J10 with the super hornet. I was in bomb mode and machine gunned it down while the J10 was going back to reload. 1 sec later I get kicked for baseraping.

More on topic it sucks to get baseraped but I think it should be legit, it's a tactic to win the round. Only Wake sucks for that matter USMC should have 1 or 2 more Spawnpoints.

To use an over used phrase; "War is hell," people need to get over it already.

As someone before me stated, base raping and spawn killing are two different things. Spawn killing is simply cheap. No if's, ands or buts about it.

Base raping can be strategic but yes it sucks when your on the recieving end of it. Adapt and conquer when those situations arise by spawning else where. If its your last base and your getting raped, so beit. Your team clearly sucked that round, learn from it and don't let it occur again.

Now, even though I believe Base Raping should be allowed, I personally don't do it without all the flags captured first. Infact, I don't let anyone in my squad do it either until that point. I personally perfer to fight it out on the open ground.

I think you should be able to. I play wake all the time and half the time I'm U.S and it sucks to get baseraped but I don't whine about it. It's just a game and when I get off the carrier I make sure we take their airfield. On the other hand it's fun to take the j-10 and rape the carrier like there's no tomorrow.

I voted no but I'm for allowing it until all captureable flags are gone. It's war after all. But then the oposing team should allow them a chance to organzie and to break out again. More sporting but I don't know how it could be enforced.

It happens now on Wake on the carrier, but very often it's because copters and planes are not providing initial defense for troop movements until a first flag gets capped. They're just flying off to harvest points and to hell with the team. If they weren't so selfish and helped defend it may not be a problem on any map. If it's mid- or late-round and you got pushed all the way back, then well, you got beat.
