Base raping should be allow when all (or most) flags have been captured. I find that most of the time when one side chooses to base rape in the beginning of the round, they almost always loose because everone simply flanks them and starts capping. Its really a flawed approach to base rape un-capp flags, because in most cases it takes up resources that can be used for capping.

if u are being spawn raped, then i would advise you to spawn somewhere else...and whats the point of defending a uncappable base? let the enemy hang out at your spawn and then go get the rest of the flags...its so simple.

I dont like it, I dont do it. I give the team a chance to move out, so I get more kills :p example - Ghost Town, I will happily let spetsnaz or sas (depending) out of their base and happily snipe them when they get to the flag, atleast that way its nice and fair :p

base raping usually means that your army is uncappable of stopping the other army, so its your fault. If they go their on purpose dont spawn there!

The only time i really base rape is when im trying to steal the enemy assets...plane, chopper, etc. Which brings up this point....90% of the people that complain about base raping are the ones trying to get in these vehicles but cant. In reality, baseraping is a wise tactic. Keep the enemy jets on the ground and they cant shoot you down, and can't bomb your teammates AKA air superiority.

People would probably stop base raping if the enemy didnt have 15 guys sitting on the runway waiting for a plane....interesting thought!

I have 1 thought for you....

If your base is getting raped and your commander can't fix his stuff then your screwed. Having said that, I have been in the receiving end as a commander. And those were my most heart pounding moments in BF2. I love it! If your team looses after you've warned them, then so be it. They deserved the loss, not from you the commander, but for not following orders.

I think no baserape rule is silly. I love being hunted as a commander (and don’t the enemy isn’t hunting you they are!!!

Seriously, stop whining about it. If you can steal their equipment (or at least destroy it) and kill them in the process, you are helping your team.

9 times out of 10, more people will spawn there to help defend a base that they can't lose anyway, and your troops will have the upper hand in taking the others.

even though it is annoying when you spawn and get mown down by a APC or camping PKM'er it's not the end of the world. Just spawn somewhere else then go and hunt them down. I hate spawn camping when its me on the receiving end, yet if it's going to help my team cap a flag I'll beat the spawn to hell and back.

Strictly forbidden, I only play on servers where people get kicked for baseraping. Go scorewhore somewhere else please.
