I was on the TacticalGamer server the other night. SmokingTarpan is ONE HECK of a BF2 player! I can only wish to be half as good as him! Great guy, awesome player!

You wouldn\'t even think of using a hack because it\'s not fun for you. I totally understand that. You have to look at this from MY perspective (not that you would want to... i\'m just saying). Because for someone like me, using a hack +IS+ fun! It ADDS fun to the game.
But don\'t worry, I don\'t use hacks when playing on TG\'s servers. I like TG. Some of the BEST guys around!

Don\'t ever assume that I download hacks (like those from MSX or MDK). If you read the whole thread, I NEVER once said I download hacks. My friends make them for me (as I told someone in PM, I\'m fortunate that some of my friends are employed as programmers by Fortune 500 companies. I download hacks... please.).
Ok finally it was proven to me this weekend that hacks are beating punkbuster. We had this guy on our server using the prefix sir with his account name pimpyo so he was sirpimpyo. Well many on my team were complaining he was one shotting them way too much, not wanting our server to get a bad reputation for kicking players better than us I told my mates to chill he's probable just a great player and wasn't using an aim bot. Well 4 rounds later he started dropping his own arty and supply crates and he wasn't even commander!!! the thing is if he hadn't started doing the supply and arty thing my hesitance to boot for the one shotting would kept him in the game cause I really would hate to kick someome for being good, heck I am just average and have been kicked for "Hacking" just because I got the drop on admins before and it's frustrating to be kicked falsy. But I will be very weary now...
Oh and one more thing, it is the hack that has been mentioned on these forums many times and many have said it doesn't work...i won't mention the website but most of you know which one I am talking about... it does work

so far.. not to mention how many times those cheaters shared it with
their buddies..
Why would they want to do that??? It would be far easier to copy the IP you registered with and then grab the server logs for the top 60 players since you don't go near the top 10 spots and then compare them with the outlying areas and see who sits closer to the location of the registered ip.....
Or EA could make a nice neat correspondence letter requesting the ip address you used to upload the picture to image shack with and then contintue searching the top players...
No matter how slick you think you are, you're still stupid. The funniest thing about cheaters is that if they can't even play an online game legitimately I'm surprised they can actually make it in real life....
In todays age of dynamic ip addresses and the 1+ million players on this game, I am sure there are going to be more than several people from his local area playing this game. And then they would have to take an educated guess as to who it is on these boards, even if it is possibly obvious, they would still be banning on an assumption.
And honestly, do you think his IP host is really going to give a sh*t about a 2 bit gamer and EA's game policy? There is nothing in any TOS/EULA that I have ever seen where an internet provider has a policy against hacking games online and posting sshots. Believe me, I have gone through all of this before in my time as one of the head admins for a gaming league.
I think it is sh*tty for people to cheat like that in games, don't get me wrong, but what I said is pretty much the reality of it. I think the worst is when they do it in league matches, the pub sh*t people do doesn't bother me as much.
I do admire the talent of the guys that actually create the things that they do, but the people that just go and dl the sh*t are pretty much nothing but scrubs. For the guys that make the cheats, most of the fun isn't really playing with a hack, it is in beating the system. The scrubs that just download the cheats and can't make them for themselves, are just trying to get false recognition for themselves by trying to make themselves look like they can play or that they can cheat.

First of all, I NEVER once said I use downloaded hacks. I will NEVER pay for hacks - EVER! Second of all, unfortunately, I don't think I can have fun without hacks. It's just me you know? What's fun for you isn't for me and vice versa.

I knew it! He was on our server lastnight. He was one shot killing me tank vs. tank. At least 5 times in a row! From far away too, and I was moving. Also, while driving around there were like 15 supply crates. I told our CO, I didn't need anymore and he said he hadn't sent any in a while. We kicked him after the 6th one shot kill from what seemed a 1/2 mile. I know there's a supposed 'sweet spot' on a tank,but this was way out of norm.

Carnivore isn't big news and neither is Lantern, that is like 5 years old (if not more). And I am not even sure what that has to do with this conversation, not like Uncle Sam is going to start gearing up their hardware to start reporting stat padders, or that an internet provider would even think of doing the same
Providing clues and having factual evidence aren't enough, especially when EA/Dice have a hard enough time with accidentally resetting stats of wrong people.
I think you're taking this a bit too seriously though, I just asked if you actually thought an 'internet provider was really going to give a sh*t about a gamer posting sshots and some games hacking policy', no need to get your britches jammed up over it. They have bigger problems than that, and even then, most of them don't give a cr*p about it. Being that your a big IT person for some big company, I'm sure you've tried turning logs in of people that have hacked your employers site and seen what little gets done about it, then try being a gaming league and doing that. Even with a static IP, they don't do sh*t and will tell you that 'logs can be forged and/or faked'.

Who cares if the guy was hacking or glitching? the fact of the matter is that guy needs to be banned or kicked for abuseing the server rules and exploiting.
