    proof hacks are beating punk buster

    Ok finally it was proven to me this weekend that hacks are beating punkbuster. We had this guy on our server using the prefix sir with his account name pimpyo so he was sirpimpyo. Well many on my team were complaining he was one shotting them way too much, not wanting our server to get a bad reputation for kicking players better than us I told my mates to chill he's probable just a great player and wasn't using an aim bot. Well 4 rounds later he started dropping his own arty and supply crates and he wasn't even commander!!!     the thing is if he hadn't started doing the supply and arty thing my hesitance to boot for the one shotting would kept him in the game cause I really would hate to kick someome for being good, heck I am just average and have been kicked for "Hacking" just because I got the drop on admins before and it's frustrating to be kicked falsy. But I will be very weary now...

    Oh and one more thing, it is the hack that has been mentioned on these forums many times and many have said it doesn't work...i won't mention the website but most of you know which one I am talking about... it does work

                          Posted: Sun Apr 23, 2006 3:13 pm Post subject: Sir PimpYo "Sir" is his prefix, PimpYo is his name. I banned this guy at 2126 on 4-22-06 for cheating. I'm not sure what sort of cheat he was running, but while playing commander he was dropping supplies to himself. I was not dropping them for him. Lethal also claims he was doing it earlier on other maps while he was commander.

                          I haven't heard of a glitch that this will happen. I believe he had full command powers but wasn't using them all.

                              I advised all my TAW members, and am advising everyone else to do this:

                              If you run a ranked server, make sure "FREE CAMERA" is TURNED ON!!!! That way, if you see someone massing up kills, go into free camera and follow that person. Look to see if they always seem to know where the enemy is, when they normally wouldn't be able to see them. Look to see if you see the player constantly looking at walls, THEN getting kills. That means he see's the enemy thru the walls then heads them off to get the kill. Watch to see if they shoot through walls to get kills.

                              Pretty much, if they are doing things that don't look normal, then they are most likely using the hack.

                                  I don't use cheats but I like to stay informed. ecoders (i will not give off their site on these forums) had and have a working hack since august 2005. Most people never knew it because everyone is always looking through msx's website for hacks, which don't normally work online and which actually install keyloggers, etc.

                                  It's good to see some people actually get caught, but with a BF2 section fanbase of approx. 2500 users all using and posting screenshots of their cheats working in BF2, it surprises me most of these folks still haven't been globally banned.

                                  I'm no snitch, so I won't bother copy/pasting, but I can say right now, without a doubt in my mind, that there are plenty of working hacks out there, and freely available to anyone who can't stand to play the game legit.

                                  Punkbuster only finds what are "publicly" known as cheats, I've seen about 75-80 homebrewed cheats on the site alone.

                                      He probably wasn't using an amibot but a wallhack (just a guess) and the commander exploit that allows multiple people to be commander at the same time (and drop lots of arty/crates) is known.

                                          Pimpyo has been on our server before, nothing outstanding that's for sure. If hackers are as average as him, than they are useless to care about anyway, as they suck with or without them.

                                              Either way, I don't think people understand how PunkBuster works, but hacks/cheats and reverse engineering have been and always will be part of any game. I remember having a buddy creating an aimbot for Duke Nukem 3d and going on heat.net and beating the sh!t out of folks.

                                              Either way, cheating is just another avenue for some gamers to try and better themselves, all the time not realizing they will never get better at any game. It's like my GF's 11yr old cousin: He won't play any game he can't find a cheat for, because he gets all fed up from losing and doesn't try and better himself.

                                              Oh well, to each their own!

                                                  to be honest, you'd have to be a real dimwit to play a game, as beautiful as BF2 is, graphically, and make it look like that POS hack screenshot.

                                                  Also JONES, how did you get that COUNTDOWN timer for the arty, on your screenshot. NEVER saw that before.

                                                          i didnt take it one of my teammates did maybe he did a windows screenshot? i am not sure honestly i hate dealing with this stuff i just want to play the game...and i agree the game is beautiful and a pos would ruin it for me too heck the fact my super pc melted down and im playing on an old dell with myvideo card on low really sucks LoL
