Fair enough, any new game mode is great, but why COOP?

Probably because CoOp was already mostly coded when the game was released. It just wasn't completed and tested. Otherwise you probably wouldn't be able to play it already by joining an SP game. Adding a "co-op mode" just means giving you all the server options you have when starting a MP server and getting bugs out.

Love the Idea of playing COOP---used to do it on Ravenshield all the time--it's a fantastic way to play with friends--and the best thing is that the bots will play better than the exploiters/ vehicle whores etc and best of all ,they won't even think about hopping and diving let alone TK'n for a plane!!!! The bots will play the game was meant to be played!!!

Yeh, would be nice for a LAN. When you got only 30 Players, they could play the game in Co-op. But I think for my homesessions it's useless. But quiet nice ^^

Capture the Flag as a gamemode makes no sense
Why on earth would you want to play it?

Better and more logical gamemodes would be

These make sense and involve teamwork - CTF does not and I've never seen it work in anything other than team deathmatch games which BF2 isn't and never should be
Conquest as a game mode is awesome - I've never found it lacking
Why must so many ask for changes that are so detrimental to such a great game

OMG that is very funny to read that! Its like asking why do people play bf2 when hackers and exploiters play it??

If so many people ask for changes, then its obvious that it CANT be detrimental to those people now can it?

GG Dice. The game has already slowed down to a crawl because of the last group of patches and now they are going to do this.

If this is done BF2 is dead. All those clans who compete in Leagues are not going to like this. Meaning they will probably leave the game, and take their ranked servers with them. The pubbies may have shot themselves in the foot with this one.
