Re: You guys think DC will take over again?
2142 will divert all the attention to it, so the mainstream "halo 2 and counterstrike" type players will basically play that instead.
as a result, the desert combat, bf1942 guys like me will play mods like DCON, bfpirates, fh2 and any star wars ones, not caring that theyre not ranked.
if bfpirates for 1942 was still widely played i would take it anyway. i just want it with better graphics and squad features, destructible ships and the like.
none of the many mods i watch have said this... im quite sure its just anti EA bashing.
frankly, its the mods that are the holdup themselves, although FH2 and battlefield40k post screens basically every day or week.
bfpirates seems to be taking damn near forever, and the guys who made it actually worked at DICE making BF2, so they have "official" support.
i see plenty of professional quality mods.
i agree that 2142 looks pathetic next to battlefield40k though.

Nice to see someone here that knows the physics though. =P But I never said the magnetic field was the same throughout the map. (otherwise the bullets would be predictable :p) I know all to much about the relation of the magnetic field direction, the velocity of the particle and it's charge, and the direction the force would be. The whole 3rd section of Physics II has been nothing but magnetism. If only the BF2 engine could deal with electricity, perhaps we could create a generator with over 100% efficiency.
(ObjectTemplate.drag -1 (yeah yeah, it's against the laws of physics, but so is about everything else in the game engine. :-P))
