Both Lost Village and 73rd Easting are my favourites maps. I hope Armor Fury will give us a map full of tanks. So each player has a tank. We all go out to fight in tanks, light calvary in the ancient times.

As to DC, I hope not because I won't get ranking in mods that's all. Even FH2 is coming out I won't be playing that much as I do to BF/SF.

I've got no idea whether the mod will be good or not but i do know EA/Dice are pretty much stamping on all the modders. Its been like 10 months or something and still no modding tools, all they get is some ****ty half assed level designer. An all because EA/Dice dont want professional mods to be made so that everyone will buy their BF2142 'mod'.

Stat system really killed off a lot of discouragement towards mod, some people think "I could be off pwnzing and getting points" and don't really care about the fun aspect. I've chosen to never buy a a game that has a "global" score system implemented into it.

DC is to BF2 as an Alienware laptop is to a Fisher Price My First Computer. BF2 is geared toward people who suck at video games, quite honestly. ANY mod that can offer good gameplay, something where your guns don't act like an electron in the magnetic field of a superconducting magnet, as well as devices that aren't programmed to allow a 5 year old to be able to pick them up and use them without any practice what so ever, will have a decent community.

BF2 isnt actually as easy as you make it sound.

If you want realism, try "Lock On". That game is excessively difficult.

Its been said plenty of times, and I'll repeat it here to help it sink in: Battlefield 2 is an arcade game.

Frankly, if DCON doesn't come out soon, it won't live past its teething. Bf2142 is coming and the mods must be feeling the pressure im sure.

I was playing on a Euro Forces server the other day and they were running the Taraba Quarry map without the airfields. It was awsome everyone one driving around in groups of tanks as engineers and it also made for long distance tank battles more like real life.

If you find a server running the map like this try it out. Major fun

Um...no? Trauma got cut right around the time of the BF2 release. From what I understand, they recently went to work for THQ (I think) under the name Kaos Studios.

Didn't know that, but it doesn't change the fact that they worked on BF2 and aren't making a mod for BF2.

I really wonder why EA games don't allow stats on moded servers with moded maps, I mean those stats-paders will still be stats-paders on every other maps, and still find ways to get some extra points. Besides I don't care about stats that much, whats a big deal? But many people take it just to seriously, and this is why many brilliant costume build maps won't be popular on the server... But could we just wright a letter to EA, with a suggestion of them to test our mods and maps, and maybe allow some of it to be used on a ranked server... of course if EA dosen't steal it and just make another Booster Pack of it

I doubt its the orignal Dc was ground breaking, the new one as nothing to do with any of the old team, but it looks ok i guess even thou its just a copy of somthing that once was...

Nope, not a chance. EA/DICE pretty much made sure mods wouldnt live like they did way back with 42 and bfv. Stats.
