I'm also a little bit bored. But it's good to join a clan or play with some friends. That will help making the game less boring. I'm at 28k now so i need 32k .. but i hope i can make that before i stop playing with bf2 because its to boring... Maybe EA must add some new maps with the new patch or something.. maybe a new weapon or vehicule.. or maybe e new character like an Spy or something which can try to capture uncapable bases... that would bring more fun to the game... well this is my opinion.

I agree. Love the game and still play online some but having more fun modding.

When I stopped playing for points/awards I really enjoyed the game more.

I realized that I would never be able to put the required time into the game in order to rank up. Stopped competitively playing after 50K.

Man, what a relief...

its took me just under 2 months to reach 24k so hopefully another couple of months and ill hit the magical 50k mark

I think I need another month to hit 50K... so from 20K-50K will take me about 10 weeks...

0K-20K took me 9 months.. lol... with a 3 month break... I certainly got a ton better after my hiatus. Sometimes you just need a break to get back in the swing of things.

I think I need another month to get to 50k, even with 9k points left to go. The fastest period that my score has gone up was about the 5k-20k mark, since the game was fun back then. As I mentioned before, it started getting boring after the 20k mark. The only fun I get now is playing Commander or when I finally get a good gunner/pilot in the chopper or when there's some sweet teamwork going on.

If you are bored, then why not try a new map, a new kit, a new vehicle etc.

I had an account where i just passed the 50 k mark , it took literally months .. thankgod , now i know i wasn't the only one strugling. I have to go thorugh this again as my old account somehow crashed , i am upto 14 k in two months and am struggling to get to 20 for crying out loud :P.

I have just joined a clan with my mates to make the game more entertaining , was also thinking of getting a mod during the holidays as well.

Stopped caring about points with my last rank, and all guns I wanted.

I play for fun first, to win second, and for goals third

I could care less about my stats, however I do make some attainable goals to help with my 'boredom'. Presently I have a goal of collecting my veteran AA badge. Do I jump in an AA every game? NO. Its not fun to do that all the time, and it would get boring.

I play with friends (USI, RO) so its just as much a get together as playing a game.

I use most all of the kits, save the Assault. Its funny, but I can 'Assault' better with the medic kit in some cases... LOL. Using more than one kit exclusively helps add variety to my game.

My problem is that I can only play 3 hours maximum, then I'm filled with boredom . Up to 43,000, almost there...

how did u guys with 50k and above make the long trip from 20k to 50k without getting bored with the game.

In my opinion, the key to having fun in this game is to play it with a group of people regularly. You don't necessarily have to join or form a clan but play with the same people and develop team skills. In pick-up squads teamwork is not much more than 4 to 6 people who happen to be doing the same thing at the same time (capturing/defending a base, etc.). In a permanent team/squad you can designate specific times in the week you will all be on and work on working as a true team. This has two effects:

1 - your points go up dramatically per round and per hour
2 - the game seems new b/c now you don't have to be a one-man army

The trick is to get people who are of the same mindset as you. For example, try to stay away from people who are only interested individualistically in points. These people never stick to a squad and tend to compete with you for points rather than doing their job (for example, shooting at everything that moves even if you are between the player and the target...!)

just play while youre waiting for mods.

when mods and ABR get big we can all have tons of medals and stuff.

otherwise, be a tank whore who plays 8 hours a day and stat pad like the rest of em.

being a high rank is now a shame.
