I just bought a new cpu and now im looking for a graphics card soly to play Battlefield 2 on High setting. I have a PCI Slot. My main reason for one is Battlefield 2. I do not want to go over $300. Will this card that is shown at the link run Battlefield 2 on HIGH settings.

What are your computer's specs? If you just have a PCI slot, not a PCIe (e for express) slot, then you are gonna have to get a really crappy card, and honestly I don't know if there are any PCI cards that work with Battlefield 2. I think I saw someone on here with a 9250 or something like that, but it is a super-crappy card. Neither of the cards you posted will work if you only have a PCI slot.
And yes, don't shop for PC parts at bestbuy, you can find both of those cards for around $100 less at newegg.
edit: WOW those 7900gt prices have gone DOWN. XFX has another one on there for $235 after a MIR. Weren't they in the $300 price range just a couple weeks ago?

Just read that you have PCI. No PCI cards will run on high for BF2, period. Unless you have PCI-E which is a much different story.

not too shabby. depending on your budget, it may be worthwhile to get another 1 gig or RAM and say an eVGA 7600 GT. That way you can run on max settings.

Others have told me that these are real good ones and they will run BF2 on HIGH will they and are they good ones.

A 7600gt will play all high @1280x1024 resolution. If you want to play any bigger than that, I'd go with a 7900gt at newegg with those super-low prices.

I just ordered an XFX Geforce 6800XT (agp) for $150, currently I have an FX5200 ultra it was almost 3 years ago when I got it, I know someone is going to reply back saying you can get a pci-e card for cheaper and better but that was my budget and in order to upgrade to pci-e I would need to buy a new motherboard, processor, ram and probably a new power supply too, if anyone else out there is using this card let me know how good it runs and if it is possible to unlock it, thanks in advance.

P.S; I remenber when 3DFX came out with a 16 ram add on card it was great for its time.

They are both the same except one can do VIVO (video in/video out) and the other one can't. Both will play the same at max settings.
