It should be possible, as long as there is room and a pci-e slot. If so, you will be able to get a very good card and should be able to play with most if not all on high.

there is a PCI-E slot because every radeon Xpress mobo has one

i mean with my computer spec, can i buy a 128mb graphic card and play BF2 without problem?

as long as it's a PCIe card, not PCI or AGP. you should also check that your PSU can handle the card.

the GeForce 7600 GS just came out

its only around 120 and right now it seems to be out performing the X1600 pro in most cases

i havent seen any AGP ones though(for me). if there was then i possibly would rma my 1600 and go for it. but then i would become an nvidiot.lol. But i know the agp version is gonna be a hell of a lot more than PCI-E. so that sucks.

i knew our X1600 won't last long but hey

when windows vista and DX10 come out 7600 GS will also be in the junk yard labelled "I DO NOT SUPPORT DX10, LEAVE ME ALONE"

I imagine you'll be able to. You've got basically the same machine as I do..mine's a little more exotic but yours has the same CPU.

BTW it's probably better to get another gig of ram..if you have 4 ram slots, running 4 paired 512mb chips will give you 2 gigs at the 128bit bus width. Trust me, it makes a big difference.

I saw this in a computer help website:

TIP: Opt for dual-channel if possible: If your motherboard supports it, use dual-channel memory. This type of memory boosts performance by increasing the speed at which data can be read and written. But for it to work, you have to install matched RAM modules in pairs. Some early dual-channel boards came with only three RAM sockets. If two of those sockets are already filled, you must either upgrade with a single DIMM (and lose some performance) or replace your two existing DIMMs.

Wat does he mean by "have to install matched RAM modules in pairs" ??
