Bro there is a few over here Asus I believe, but I am in Okinawa Japan. And I would have to pick them up locally for you. You would not be able to have them in your hand over night.

AGP isn't dead but it almost is .

you will be able to buy AGP cards for another year or two , but then they will get extremely rare

Decided to search unknown sites for a board and came across the same board over and over again, which, as it would happen, turns out to be one of the very few on Newegg! So I'm researching it now and might buy it during my lunch break or later tonight.

the Asrock 939 has a 940 bridge right above the PCI-E Slot for future expansion to FX processors.
Say what you may about cheap Mobo's, but this mobo breaks the mold as far as inexpensive mobos go, u will more than pleased with this board. The only complaint I have is the arrangement of the IDE ports and FDD Port (yes I still have a floppy)

I still would reccomend the MSI k8n Neo 2 platinum (or -f), if you can still find them. In it's time it was considered the bes overclocking AGP board.

While I don't have any input for you regarding mobos (I haven't built an AMD machine yet ... that will be next), I can commiserate with you on the death of AGP.

My current machine was built about 5-6 months ago tops and at the time I had to choose between AGP or PCI-e. Seeing as how AGP seemed to have a long, good history, I just stuck with that. Now there is next to nothing out there with an AGP slot. Your government conspiracy theory may be valid

Interesting that you'd link to that board. That's the same board I started looking at during one of my breaks today. The Gigabyte runs at 800mhz stock. I don't know much about hypertransport, but going down from 1000 to 800 certinally can't be a good idea. From the limited time I had, it seems like an 800mhz based mobo would underclock my cpu!

I'll probably bite the bullet and buy my board from an unknown site like the one you just linked to. As for the other recomendations, while appreciated that you participated, I have to wonder if you read what this thread is about. Lots of people suggesting I either go sli, or get a new agp videocard. This is a thread about agp mobo's moreso than videocards. While agp videocards are also obviously dying, this particular thread is about my search for a good agp mobo. Thank you for the suggestions though.

btw, the way I came across the Neo today was by typing "939 agp 1000" into Yahoo in the "Shopping" section. The Neo with the NForce3 chipset (which I think is happily compatible with the XFI, compared to the NForce4) is the seventh down. I hope that I get a choice in color though because the thumbnail is bright red, and the closeup is a nice blackish color. I definately want the black over the red. I just hope I don't get screwed by some unknown site...

Unknown to me. Never seen anyone link to it before and the site looks pretty plain so I just assumed. It does rank in the top two both in Yahoo and Google for merchant ratings. But it's not in stock with them. At least, I think that's what "On Order" means. I'm calling a place that doesn't mention whether it's stocked or not, but most places just have the product info and are out of stock. THIS is what I mean by agp being dead. If you can't find it on the internet, then it no longer exists!!! There's one, used, on ebay right now. Doesn't end for two days though and I hate auctions. Blah. Blah! Blah!!!
