set your settings to high on whatever you have at the moment, and that is what itll look like, but wont be so jerky.

Re: dual 7800gtx pics??
You should have made some research about it before making such statements. Both cards have different purposes. In high resolution, GeForce is alot better than ATI (by at least 15-20 fps). for instance GTX outperforms ATI on 1920 x 1600 (4AA/4AF i think) however in low resolutions "BUT high AA/AF" ATI is better. It depends on the user. I truly think Nvidia did a hell alot better job, because they released that card 3-4 months ago and ATI still can not "totally outperform it". There are still many cases where GTX is a lot better than ATI.Originally posted by GarabaldiYou shuold have got a an x1900xt, which would have out perormed those two cards for a fraction of the price..

And for BF2, even if ATI made the uber super cool video card with the half of GTX's price, i would still not buy ATI, i would buy Nvidia, because this game (BF2) is totally meant to be played with Nvidia graphic cards. It's the way it was coded and built, and ATI can make the best cards with alien technology, but you won't get the graphics you get with Nvidia with ATI.

Really? I see the XTX beating the GTX 512 by about 10 fps at around that resolution with AA:Originally posted by maranelloIn high resolution, GeForce is alot better than ATI (by at least 15-20 fps). for instance GTX outperforms ATI on 1920 x 1600 (4AA/4AF i think).

Which proves you are just a fanboy with no real information to add. The Battlefield series is a Direct 3D game which has always run better on ATI cards. The fact that Nvidia and EA have a advertising contract just means Nvidia pays EA to put that logo there and nothing more.Originally posted by maranelloAnd for BF2, even if ATI made the uber super cool video card with the half of GTX's price, i would still not buy ATI, i would buy Nvidia, because this game (BF2) is totally meant to be played with Nvidia graphic cards. Just questioning that 1 gb of ram you are going to be using to run bf2. I would seriously get 2 gb or else expect major lagg no matter what your graphics system or processor. I tested this, and have experienced big lagg with 1gb with high settings switched back to 2 gb problem solved...

Re: dual 7800gtx pics??
Have you got a graph including sli'd nvidia cards, it might be more relevant...
Problems with a graph showing performance in a game is its kinda pointless, what was on screen at the time or is that an average and if so of what? What were the peaks and troughs for each card and when? A card pumping out 120fps when looking out to sea aint great if it drops to 20fps in the heat of battle.... infact a more steady fps from a card is better than a "stop start" visual even if that means a lower average.
Unless you place that graph in a field of relevance it really serves no purpose other than having pretty colours.
It is wrong to suggest un specified advice where people may part with a lot of money on the basis of it. For the sake of common sense justify it with a source so it may mean something. I know ati's are now most likely better but you cant simply put a pretty picture up and call it proof.
BF2 on dual 7800gt's looks great, but there is simply a limit as to how good it can look inspite of hardware. The game simply wont spew out more effects or higher res textures because your computer can handle it.
