then we have the 6.800gt about 300-400$ right?


with same pc, same graphic settings and all same stuff, what FPS difference could we get in BF2 more with the expensive one?

I use ATI X700 AGP PRO with all settings on high, AA on X2 with fps around 50/60. Hello Nvidia.:p

ive got a standard 6800 and i run on all high except texture and lighting which are on medium, 2x aa. on a full 64 player server my fps is usualy around 60 with lows of 35.

i dont understand how you cant run on high and i can when you have a better card!?

btw ive got 1 gig of ram and a 2.0ghz processor

Another 1GB of ram should increase FPS a little, and smooth out what fps you already have. Loading times should improve significantly and the overall performance of your windows OS will be improved.
Btw, have you tried reinstalling the game yet? Also what sound card do you have and what in game sound settings do you use?

may i ask what psu you have beacuse The GeForce 6800 Ultra is power-hungry and is capable of consuming up to 110W under a peak load.
if you have a 350watt psu i say get somthing with 500+ some ppl think this is BS but the gfx card manufacture stats on the box a minimum psu requirment (minimum is a pc with 1hd and 1cd rom)any thing more will take away power from ur gfx card.

I have tried reinstalling the game = still same performance
I dont have a sound card. or maybe i do its called RealTek
Sound settings are on Medium and Software.

Is your processor AMD? What server do you play on? Strike at Karkand? if so, please tell me what fps you get when your first starting out and everyone is just throwing grenades over the small buildings.

I had a Geforce FX 5500 and that thing was able to run bf2 on everything low at 800x600 no AA and 100% draw scale and it would'nt lag but then i just got a ATI X850XT and i OC'ed to PE speeds and it runs bf2 on verything high woithout any lag but lags only when hella PING but nvidia gave up on AGP so thats why ATI has an advantage over them is cause ATI made the X850XT PE AGP and that thing compares to a 7800GT almost so ATI is the way to go for AGP but if you have the $$$ then get a 7800GT or GTX ut be warned you have to have a Hella Good Processor to get max advantage from the card so Goodbye Nvidia!!!:p

The price of any card is subjective uncle_adolph, different people have different budgets. Somone with a car payment, insurance, mortgage, kids, might not be able to afford a $300+ card. On the other hand, if someone lives with their mom and dad, has a part time job, and has their parents pay all their bills can afford just about anything.
