I just got my new Geforce6800GT today and i cant wait to try it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111 What should I expect my AA and all other settings for BF2 be now?????

All high except textures most likely. Get 2GB of RAM and you'll be on all high.

holy f*** i ust played bf2 and i got 20fps on 64 player map (strike at karkand) with everything on high.............then i put medium on dynamics an still the same **** fps. WTF IS THIS???

Oh, so you put one measly thing on medium and you expect the FPS to go up 500%?

Try setting everything to medium.

It won't do High no, or perhaps it will but with 20-40 FPS. You should turn the dynamic things both down and perhaps the AA as well.

i put almost everything to medium except for texture filtering and geometrics the rest are on medium....what the hell...this was my xmas present and it isnt performing better than a adeon x700 that is pathetic. can i ask though...does ping affect your fps? if i have like 300ping...(which i usually do) will my fps go down? I just played in a 300ping server and my ping was terrible. it was like 20-40 the whole time w/ most settings on medium.

I think you can change the title again then :) . Bye Bye nVidia, ATi was better :) .

No the other thing you might have to reduce is the Textures, since with 1GB of RAM it's in no way going to be able to load the Textures very well.

LOL what he said, did you install the drivers, and also did you remove the old ATI drivers???, and yes you can run on high, but you will have high fluctuation due to only 1 gig of memory.

I installed 82.12 drivers. How do I uninstall the other Radeon drivers? anyways i Think its gone because some pc pros fixed this for me...but how do i clear the drivers just in case?


EDIT: i just found out i hadnt uninstaled my TRU warcat drivers...so i did...and ill see if there is an improvement.

For a better improvement turn off shadows, i get 55fps+ with vsync enabled
and Directx tweaker... thats with nearly everything on high but no shadows
medium land textures, high textures

so everything on hig except for terrain and lighting, AA off, and dynamics ligh medium...distance scale 90%? is that ok? and the the rest r on high.
