Ya, i'm not so sure either, some bad reviews on newegg, so FOR NOW, i'm sticking with the LP SLI-DR, MAYBE, i might change to the expert, but for now, it is how it is.

i would go w/ the DFI Expert. it's pretty much the same as the sli-dr but the pcie slots are spread out more. compatible w/ DD-NV78 water blocks (SLI, of course).

          Mobo: DFI Lanparty SLI-DR
Memory: 4x1GB OCZ GOld EL PC4000 ram
HD: 4x72GB Raptor SATA HD in RAID 10
          Sound Card: X-fi Platnium Pro
          Video card(s): 2xBFG 7800GTX 512mb
          Case: Thermaltake Tai-CHi
Cooling: DD custom cooling, including a silver TDX block for CPU, and two MAZE4 GPU blocks for the two GTXs
PSU: PC Power and Coolin 1kw PSU
          Mouse: Razer Copperhead Plasma
          Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse Gaming Keyboard
          Joystick: Saitek X52

I have no idea about monitor or speakers, but that would be my perfect setup.
I would use the Swiftech Apogee or Strom over that TDX anyday, the TDX is mediocre. I may even be crazy enough to get that $200 Little River G6 or even G8 when it comes out. But for ultimate cooling, try vapor phase change or liquid nitrogen.

Well, i only like custom WC, it's cheap (cheaper than reg high performance WC) and it's custom. Plus, teh TDX is awesome, it's one of the best CPU Blocks out right now, and the silver version is just insane, and so is it's price.

I know, kits suck (I never implied kits in my post previous post). The Apogee and Storm (along with the G6 and G8) are CPU blocks like the TDX just so you know, but they preforn much better than the TDX. The Apogee is the best answer if money is a problem since it costs less than the TDX but performs extremely well (just make sure to open it up to check for shavings). Since you're talking about the silver TDX though Id prefer a LR G5 or G6, best silver waterblocks out. Those would be great for a custom chiller too.

Siince i'm not THAT knowledgable about WC, where do u find the LR G5 or G6. Since i usually only look at DD for WC (even though i don't have WC), where would i find a G5 or a G6?

Not sure exactly where you can buy it but you can look at some info on it:

But I think many would be hesistent on buy a $200 waterblock. I think it's best to stick with the copper ones for now.

Re: what would you build ???????

i'd put together a system like this:

Motherboard: Dual Opteron SLI (yes, they're already available...)
                    CPU(s): 2x AMD Opteron 170 Denmark Dual Core @ 2.0GHz
                    GFX: 2x 512MB 7800GTX in SLI Mode
                    RAM: 4x 1GB PC3200
HDD: 2x WD 150GB Raptors in RAID
                    HDD: 1x WD 400GB
                    Sound: Creative X-Fi Fata1ity
Case: Lian Li Aluminum of some sort
                    OS: Windows XP 64-bit Edition
                    Display: 30" Apple Cinema Display @ 2560x1600

                    price? expensive.

tyan 4 cpu mobo (has 4 cpu slots and 4 PCIe 16)
                      4 opteron 880s dual 2.4 2mb L2 each
32gb of DDR400 2-2-2-5 (and yes the mobo supports it)
4 of those dual 7800gt cards that tomshardware reviewed(total of eight 7800gts)
                      16x 146gb 15000rpm hds with 16mb on SCSI320
                      X-fi Platnum pro w/creative 7.1 progamer G750s
                      8 Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP 30inch monitors
                      phasechange cooling on everything
                      4 redundant PC Power&Cooling 1000w PSUs
Logitech G7 mouse and G15 keyboard
                      Saitech X52 flight controller

                      cost would be around $50,000

no the fx-60 is a dual core running at 2.6ghz i believe

the fx-61 is just an fx-59 runnig at 3.0ghz other than 2.8
