I would build an AMD FX-60
5 x 150GB RAPTORS (http://www.wdraptorx.com/index.asp?bhcp=1) on an Adaptec SATA-RAID adapter RAID-5
2 X SLI XfX 7800GT 512MB Oc'ed
2 GB of Kingston Hyper-X (32bit OSes only recognize 2GB)
X-Fi Sound Card
2 X Plexxtor SATA DVD RW's
Thermaltake water cooling system with passive cooling tower.
30" LCD
1KW PSU
