      i havnt had a sound card for years.... im not to fussed ive got some Sennhieser HD 280pro's and some boston speakers and they sound fine, im more fussed about decent graphics

              You really need to get 2X1 of RAM instead of 4X512. With 4 sticks, you will be running at 2T instead of 1T and that's a bigger performance hit than loose timings.
              I would stay away from crucial (for now). they have been sending some bad batches lately.

                  you need to check the 12 volt rails on that power supply

                  a 7800gt requires at least 24 amps on that rail

                      That's why I put "need" in quotation marks. It's not a required component like RAM, vid card, HD, etc. It's just nice to have.

                          I just bought 2x1gb crucial RAM from overclockers.co.uk. Currently it is in their 'this week only' section for £61 inc VAT for each stick, a saving of about £10.

                            That computer should last you a while. I would suggest Corsair XMS memory! I use it and I wouldn't OC without it.
