I wanna see if any of you X2 fanboys
can convince me that I should be getting an X2-3800 or even a X2-4200+ vs a 4000+ single core with 1mb cache and the better San Diego core. I've read both overclock fairly well, and I of course plan to do so... I don't do much multi-tasking, I create the occasional DVD now and then, but I mostly game, and listen to music or watch TV on my rig, so I don't really do anything that requires another core. I just want my games to give me wood...
I plan on pairing one of the proposed cpu's up with following :
EDIT: currently looking at:Abit KN8 or MSI K8N SLI - F
G.SKILL Extreme Series 2GB DDR 500
XFX 7800 GTX
X-Fi XtremeMusic
WD Caviar 250GB Sata II
CoolMax 600w PSU
I welcome any suggestions or product recommendations you can offer.
