Alot of people confuse ghosting with tearing, which results from vsync being disabled. They are two different things.

If you like insane resolutions(1600*1200 and up) then stick with CRT. If you're happy with 1280*1024 and lower, go with an LCD.

ok man chill a bit there. If you wanna go that far, all monitors ghost....crt's included. Ever used an old TV?

it is possible to get an LCD that will basically exhibit no ghosting for gaming, but you're going to havbe to pay an arm and and a leg for the next couple years. If you're on a budget, it clear that CRT's are still the way to go.

I would get a decent LCD fi I could afford it. Even if there was slight ghosting, the monitors are better for your eyes. I could just call the ghosting "full-screen-anti-aliasing" That's right, it's a feature! :p )

I have had a 17" Dell LCD with DVI/Analog since 2002, I love LCD, CRT's are for the weak. I have never had an issue with my LCD ever.
Here is the deal. If you skimp on your LCD you will get what you paid for CRAP!
Stick to the good high end stuff, no LCD's with Analog only, you will be sorry.
Stay away from "store-brand" LCD's like CTX, AON, Princeton and the like.
Go with Viewsonic, NEC, Hitachi, Philips.
          I run my LCD at 1280 X 1024 at 60Hz, never a problem!

This is why I'm keeping my SUN microsystems CRT (but I also have a Dell 2405FPW):

I just got my LCD flat pannel monitor, and I love it a lot more than my CRT monitor.
