I am going LCD for sure.... just gotta decide wether its the Dell 2005FPw or not...
I was at best buy today, sat down and played on a Gateway 20" widescreen... I liked it, seemed to look GREAT... and fast...( musta been the dual SLI set-up...i want one of them too...)

lcd is good for text and stuff like that..but when it comes to games, u want a crt cuz i noticed how the pictures sorotf lag for lcd..

I just got my Samsung 914v 19" LCD screen and I love it. It took a while to adjust the colors, but now it looks just as good as it did on my CRT. No ghosting either.

lcd is good for text and stuff like that..but when it comes to games, u want a crt cuz i noticed how the pictures sorotf lag for lcd..

Ghosting is only an issue on lower end LCDs.

Low quality and older LCDs suffer from blur and slower screen updates, but newwer ones refresh as fast or even faster than CRTs.

The radiation output from an LCD is much lower than from a CRT (as much lowwer as 1% of total CRT output!). That makes them healthier to use for long periodes of time.

Also it gives you the ability to stash some useless paperwork behind the monitor when all other area on the desktop is occupied:)

I don't really care. I've got a CRT at my house, but my school is all LCD. They both have their ups and downs.

I used to be a big CRT fan and a huge anti LCD person because of how crappy the first lcd monitor i had and at all the crappy displays for the LCD tvs and whatnot. But over the summer i saw a couple monitors that were displaying a very clear image. None of that 'pixel drag' as i like to call it where you see, uh, i guess, the squares being dragged behind anything that moved side to side or up and down. But Samsung and NEC do a fantastic job making flat screens fast enough to give you a hard time to tell the difference between a CRT and LCD. You just gotta be willing to spend that kinda money but to me it was definately worth the money.
