You posted three times in a row, normally people will just edit their post if theirs is last.

That's true. But let's just keep "on topic"

If I purchase via the option #1. My next upgrade will be a new motherboard and cpu. Like Asus A8N-32 SLi Deluxe and AMD Athlon64 4000+

If you aren't planning on going SLi, BFG makes a good mobo and you can get a 7800GT OCed from them. That is if you're planning on moving up on your CPU. And there is just no way to beat a lifetime warranty backed with 24/7 tech support, especially if you game.

I am no longer an Asus fan, as my chipset fan failed and even though it still runs, the damage caused is leading to a cascade of failures that will probably have me buying a new mobo soon.

I am SO fed up with this, you bunch of smartasses. Sorry for my language.

If you read any of my posts at all. I ask for your apinion about what I should do in my situation. PCI-E contra 7800GT or AGP contra X850XT, and then later I asked the differents between X850XT and X800.

I didn't ask for anything about OC'ing, since it's the most stuppiest things you can ever do. IN MY APINION! I didn't ask for a GTX nor X1800.

So READ the ****ing posts I made or get the hell out of my thread.
your question has already been answered. there is no question if you want to get the best fps get the pci-e 7800gt, end of story, it will own a x850xt. what was suggested was to try to help you out and make your machine a little future proof since skt478 is dead and a skt478 w/ pci-e is not going to be cheap. money is money regardless of where you are on the globe, no reason to waste it on out dated technology when you can get up-to-date technology for just a little bit more.

and yes, i am running a skt478 cpu also, so you can't say i am hatin' or intel bashing.

I'm not going to be gaming for years. It's just for 1 year.

after one year you are never going to game again? if that is the case i am assuming you have a agp board? then get a used x850xt from somewhere, that iwll be the most economical way and still allow you to play at 1280x960 w/ 1GB of ram.

I don't want my life affected my computers in any way. When I move to more demanding education, I won't have the time, because I have a life besides this.

since you are only planning on gamng for another year, then if it were me, i would try to find a agp x800xtpe or x850xtpe used (there really is not much of a difference between the 2 benchmark/spec wise). you should be able to pick one of these up for a little more than what you were going to pay for just that skt478 pci-e board.

the p4p800 is a good board based on a very good chipset for the p4.
