    Yeah,

I decided that whatever I buy, it's going to be the fastest, since I'm already blowing alot of money on this rig. Because I REALLY don't want to upgrade for a long time. Also, I'm very curious what it will be like when I fire up this system. Has anybody seen two EVGA 7800GTX KOs strapped together on a 32 PCI slot (not 16 devided by 2) board with a fx57 chip and 4G of 500 mh redline mushkin RAMs, all overclocked with a $1200 vapor exchange system to cool it, enclosed in a custom Lian Li case with a 1000W Turbo cool power supply. I'm about to find out.
So you see, I had to get those cards!!

I'm posting the 3D mark score soon.

Don't expext anything over 13-14k. You will be limited by your CPU.

Oh jeez, don't tell me this. . The reason why I choose the FX57 was because it still beat the dual core Opterons and such and the Intel chips on side by side reviews. (wish I had the link). It even beat an Opteron on the Tyran Thunder board, which has the full 32 PCI slots).
Of course we all know the fact that the games don't support the dual cores like they could.
I hope you guys are wrong, but I can't argue until I see this. By the way, I was told that the Japanese guy with the worlds' record clocked a 17,500 and had an Intel chip that he overclocked to 7.5 gh.
This rig was a weak attempt to come close to his 3D Mark.
I can say that I fired up my other computer with a single 7800 GTX for the first time and I sniped 5 guys back to back with single head shots across the Karkand river hiding under the train with the 95'....all within about 30 seconds. I was in heaven. Can't wait to see the antilaising x4, etc. that still wasn't turned on.

All I gotta say is that you better show some pictures of this rig you're gonna build, cause I wanna see what that kind of money would buy me. Oh, and some games are starting to support dual core cpu's, in fact in quake 4, a x2 4800+ actually beat a fx-57, I'll post the link when I find it.

Please do, because Dual Cores lose to same speed Single Cores in FEAR.

Well an FX 57 at 3.9Ghz gets a little over 17.5k with dual 7800 GTX's overclocked. This is with extreme cooling. You won't score more than 14k with an FX clocked under 3Ghz.

lol. I'll definately post the the photos. As a matter of fact I have a long post already prepared. I know not too many guys spend that much money on a rig, so I thought it might be interesting. By the way, other interesting info. On those same tests, the Doom3 tests were also faster on the Intel....all else was faster on the fx57 (remember 3D mark isn't using Doom4 yet). Their explaination was that the Intel supported the Open Gl better, which is what Doom's engine is based on, as opposed to Direct X9 (I might have that reversed).
Anyway, the cooling system alone is the interesting part. If you've seen the Vapochill II, it's an actual AC unit that blows on the CPU. It really does drop the chip's temp 20 degrees. And it's case only hooked up to the P65 Lian Li case, which is no longer produced. Also, the Mushkin Redlines have these actual loops built in so that you can run some hoses through them for cooling.
Well, maybe I'll have the fastest for at least a day. I dunno. I'm furious because my ASUS8N32 Deluxe Mobo is still on back order. That's the motherboard I'm using. It's supposed to smoke the DFI lanparty boards, particularly because of the 32 slots. We'll see.

32 pci lanes wont give you anything extra, id like to see it smoke a DFI board.. sounds to me like you have no idea what your talking about
