I dont know about pwn...but the X1800xt surely does not own the 7800GTX.
For a 512MB card being compared to a 256MB card (makes a relative difference in the maximum threads it can process, like 4x more then a 256MB card), a card with higher core and memory clocks (by a significant amount), and it still looses many comparisons and barely beats out the 7800GTX in others....I think its easy to see the G7 series from Nvidia is probably still the dominative force.

Say what you want...but I think Nvidia really has the opportunity to close ATI's doors for awhile....ATI has to step up if they want to play ball.

NOT completely true. The limit of 1600x1200@60Hz only applies to the last gen of crossfire cards (ie x850XTPE Crossfire edition) witht eh new x1000 series of cards, they will be able to surpass those limits in crossfire mode.

I think ATI has a good item on the market, it just was too little too late. If ATI can prove itself to be a major player once again, they gotta do more...

I'll wait for the midrange stuff, something that I can realistically afford without making my wallet cry. nVidia is just moving into .90nm...
