this reminds me of the geforce 5800 ultra

it had four pixel pipelines (same as the last gen cards ti4200/4600/4800)
and had less than ati last generation top end cards (9500 pro/9700 pro) which had 8
nvdia soon took this off the market and replaced it with the 5900 ultra (8 pipes)

nvdia have not put a foot wrong since the geforce 5 series

sadly this cannot be said about ati

For this card ATI went from .11 and .13nm to .09 on the core. Seemes like this transition has given them some problems that has forced them to run 16 pipes in the first versions. Once ATI sorts this out they will have a killer card on their hands. No doubt about that. When they release 24 or 30 pipeline cards with those clock speeds it will kick serious butt. Too bad it will take a while yet. Nvidia has definetly sold many cards by being first to market with the new generation much like ATI did with the 9700PRO.

2 many pipes lokking like a freaking sewer if it wasnt for my brilliant mother id have 600 bucks 2 spent on a new crad now i gotta buy almost a whole new compie:wall: :cussing: :wall: :cussing:

yeah 600 is to much i mean i spent alittle more then 500 on this one and thats because it was a graduation gift i dont see myself buying a video card for 600 unless its alot better then the one i have here and the new ATI card is better but not that much better lol
