Cool, but I think I'd rather upgrade to a 7800 GTX still.

7800GTX is the way to go... for now. With the SLI, you always have the time to add another card and boost your performance without having to replace your current card. With ATI, you'd have to wait for Crossfire and get 2 X1800XT's, and that would cost way too much, and still not be as good as dual 7800GTX's.

Then once they come out with their 32 pipe cards, nvidia may release a new card with 36 pipes

              ...never know.

What a ripoff, 600 dollars and the GTX owns it. **** that.

                    Re: New ATI X1800 Bencmarks

ATi does the same thing every time:

                    1. nVidia releases a next-gen card.
                    2. 4-6 months later ATi releases a card that's around the same as that card
                    3. the new ATi cards cost more but don't offer anything better than the nVidia cards

Ever since nVidia released the 6 series they have been on top.

ATI looks to be in trouble if that pricing is right

has been all downhill for ATI since the 9800 pro
