yea most of you guys have to be kidding you guys are out of your mnds. ALL YOU NEED IS EITHER A %!@ STICK OR ANOTHER GIG OF RAM THATS IT. and eddy we argued about this already about your 800 being better than my 6800 and when you play on 1280x960 ALL high 4xaa in a 64 man server and get 60+fps call me up.

no its not the 7800... its perfect i use it. Your problem is ram most likely and your cpu isnt to great either.

What the hell...Since when was the 3200 "not to great"/outdated?

Since everybody thinks that since they can afford to buy that brand new 7800GTX and AMD 64 4000+...that everybody else should be able to as well.

It's computer hardware...it's obselete before you've even finished thinking about considering buying it

I don't understand this reply...this is exactly what I just posted.

You have to turn a couple of things down to medium when you only have 1 GB of RAM.

Yo, i say this, on a 16 player server i get 25-65 fps settings MAXED out, an average of about 60, minmum of 25 in firefights, if i do the tweak guide i get about 10 fps more and get a higher average and a higher minimum. So look at it this way, i can go settings maxed out, but there's no noticable difference.

but when you jump in a 64 man server on a 64 man map you get unplayable fps right? see thats were i can pull ahead i get 60+fps in a 64 man server all high 1280x960 4xaa so 1 gig or 2 gig make your choice.

Yes, i get lag, i don't play on those anymore, i prefer 32player servers anyways, i don't like 64 player maps. It's not unplayable, but i get killed by lag lke every 10 minutes. I never said that 1 gig is better than 2 or the same as two, just sayin it's good enough for me.

i dont get lag in 64 man servers i used to realy bad like 64 man karkand is awesome fun. i get no lag its a blast. i havent played in a 32 man in so long. i went in one the other day, and i was in shock by how empty it felt it was scary. there was no one so i left. 64 man is the way to go. this is bf2 not css!!! woooo 64 man all the way

Well good for you, maybe i might try 64 player again, but 32s enough for me, plus, i don't got an extra 110 bucks lying around ATM, the RAM prices increased, i got my COrsair Value Select Ram on a weekend deel at Newegg.com for 87 bux, now it's like 107 bucks, i'll get some more maybe in a year.

I purchased 1 gig of ocz plat rev el 2 ram

msi 7800gtx

dfi sli dr motherboard

and all that good stuff and now it lags worse that it ever did with my 6800gt...

driving me insane...

i have a 3200 amd 64 and all that jazz too

shouldent have bought all that expensive stuff. my FX5200, 1GB, and P4 2.4 runs an all medium wiht no lag at all.

Tey getting 512mb or better yet 1GB of ram

Format and reload windows. I see so many of these posts.

My specs

AMDXP 2400 @ 2.3 ghz
1 gb corsair 3200
radeon 9800 pro

Game at 1600*1200 medium settings- game is smooth at 50 fps+

From what I can see on these forums is a lot of people with lots of money, but do not know how to optimise their system. I think many peoples problems could be fixed with a windows reinstall.

The key word you used...was MOSTLY. You cannot get by with 1 GB with EVERYTHING on highest.

I am running 2 GB of RAM @ 333 Mhz and I can turn EVERYTHING on highest without a hiccup now. I could not do that with 1 GB of RAM @ 400 Mhz.

Really? I run all high with only 1gb. (1280x1024)
