Im so sick of BF2

I purchased 1 gig of ocz plat rev el 2 ram

msi 7800gtx

dfi sli dr motherboard

and all that good stuff and now it lags worse that it ever did with my 6800gt...

driving me insane...

i have a 3200 amd 64 and all that jazz too

Um, maybe it's the drivers, google driver cleaner pro, should come up with some useful stuff for you, if not, i dunno, maybe someone else can help ya.

Well, i play mostly on high settings and 1280x960 6xAA. I only have 1GB of crappy Corsair Value Select RAM.

its patched... and on single player... 1024x768 i get like an average of 50 frames...from everything ive read i should get an average of more like 90

Well, i play mostly on high settings and 1280x960 6xAA. I only have 1GB of crappy Corsair Value Select RAM.

The key word you used...was MOSTLY. You cannot get by with 1 GB with EVERYTHING on highest.

I am running 2 GB of RAM @ 333 Mhz and I can turn EVERYTHING on highest without a hiccup now. I could not do that with 1 GB of RAM @ 400 Mhz.

I can actually, i sacrifice a couple of things to medium and get no lag. On a 16 player server i easily hit high, in fact the only reason i turned em to medium is because there is not enough noticable difference, you should search BF2 tweak guide in the client support section, that'll tell you what to put on high and medium. I can run high 32 players if i wanted, there's no noticable difference between high and medium for some settings except i get higher fps with some of them on medium.

It's a really great guide, you can get like at least 10 more fps by doing this.

Sounds to me it's a server problem, and not a clientside problem. What's your ping when playing?

no its not the 7800... its perfect i use it. Your problem is ram most likely and your cpu isnt to great either.
