yea most of you guys have to be kidding you guys are out of your mnds. ALL YOU NEED IS EITHER A %!@ STICK OR ANOTHER GIG OF RAM THATS IT. and eddy we argued about this already about your 800 being better than my 6800 and when you play on 1280x960 ALL high 4xaa in a 64 man server and get 60+fps call me up.

G-Money you crack me up, i seem to follow the same posts after you and your answer to almost every prob is more RAM. Sorry but i do laugh outloud!
Seriously now, to everyone- G-Money is right, you cannot run HIGH settings super smooth w/out 2 gigs.
Your rig has to be dialed in to get the most outta BF2, update all drivers and keep your hard-drive super clean and fragged. It really makes a world of difference!

lol well there all the same damn problems. they have killer systems with like 256 ram and there like oh jeese it doesnt run good. you need 2 GIGS DAMNIT.:laugh:

Uhmm it was meant to be funny. The guy seems like a spoil brat who knows nothing about computers and likes to waste money around. He has a geforce 6800 and upgraded to a 7800 to play BF2. Thats the dumbest idea ever. Even more dumb, he wants to upgrade from a 3200 to a 4000.
In this case ram might be the problem but in some cases is the crappy game code. So to make sure BF2 runs, just buy a 6000$ system.

its not even possible to spend 6 k on a system unless you...no you just cant. so what. and bf2 code must suck then on yours casue its fine on mine.

Ive spent $400 so far for BF2. A new mobo and 2 gigs of ram. But, oh my god, what a difference just a new mobo made. I overclocked my P4 2.6 ht to a 3.0 and still not over 52c under heavy load. I got a 6800 128mb overclocked and 2 gigs and i get mostly high settings down the list, (W/ Light settings and Shadows to medium). Guess what, no studders or long waits.
