Right now I have 2x 512MB dual channel RAM but I want to upgrade to 2 gigs. What would u guys advise? Get 2x 1 gig, or add 2 more 512MB? Money is kind of an object here, but if the difference is noticeably worth it, I might go for it.

What mobo, processor? If you have an older A64 (ie. not rev. e) you will need 2x1GB. If not then 4x512 will be fine. -

4-512's will still run in Dual Channel and from what I understand, it's better to have 4-512's than 2-1Gb sticks. I haven't tested this myself, it's what I've read in reviewsComment

Yes, 4-512s is better because then you have 2-sticks to read and 2-sticks to write, versus just one for both.
Yes 4-512s will work in your motherboard quite nicely, just make sure you buy the same exact kind.Comment
